Is the paint finish on monty repsol wheels a matt,semi or full gloss finish

Is there something to the report from my buddy that his clutch engages too far out from the bar and will not adjust properly. He tells me that the screw has no effect? Someone tell me whats up so I can let him know! MC

I am of course completely biased, but would it be an idea to have a class for trial competitions limted to four-stroke engined bikes built before 1990? That would make the RTL honda shine once more, and would allow twinshock as well as monoshock bikes to compete in this class...

Reading posts about the new Beta due to be unveiled soon, makes all brands but GG with a four stroke in the works. Any news when it will become mandatory for the world championship ? I don't think Beta are getting the jump on Sherco DP, the 3.2 is one hell of a machine to ride, had it's initial problems, I was able to get mine performing, and the factory will no doubt be on top of the job, Fuel injection isn't beyond any of the factories, it may be the cost it adds to the price of the bike that may be the big factor, you get a good bike with the Mont, but you do pay extra for it. Hi guy's, very friendly greetings from Germany. I like your Forum very much. We have nothing like this here in Germany. I took my 4Rt from my dealer last friday. The bike is brilliant. Very easy to ride, a lot of power. My last five bikes were been all Betas. Different to the Beta is, that I drive the 4 Rt much more in the first gear. The sound of the 4 Rt is a little bit too loud, when you turn the throttle for speed. Best regards, Thomas

hi what oil would be fine for a scorpa 175f? i see they recommend motul 300v fully synthetic, but i cannot get this locally. i take it something like shell advance ultra be fine for this engine as it does not work hard anyway, and i can get it locally....better price too. i want to use good oil, but are some of the recommendations overkill? given it not a race bike.... cheers

Does anybody know anything about if or when beta might release a four stroke to the public? I suppose a broader question is, what is the status of the law-suit that had been supposedly filed by gas-gas/beta with the FIM? The crux of that suit pertained to the fact that the bike manufacturers (particularly gg & beta) were angry that the FIM is dictating techology requirements, rather than emissions requirements. One or both have supposedly produced 2T motors that meet or exceed the emissions standards set for the four stroke machines. A lot would hinge on the results of the law-suit as to weather or not we will see 4T machines from these manufacturers in the near te…

Most of the top world riders were in Spain for last weekends Spanish National in preparation for the upcoming worlds I noticed that there were seven factory riders on 4 strokes in the top 11 and only four riders on 2 strokes.

Its obvious by the lack of topics in this forum that nothing goes wrong with fourstrokes. Or am i wrong ????

Hi 1st off this isn't on a trials bike but I do compete on a GasGas and trials guys seem to be a bit more clued in on engines than the general biking fraternity so heres my problem. I've just replaced the engine on my sons pitbike with a brand new unit re-using the old carb and exhaust, engine is the same type but not same make so may have differnet spec cams, valves etc. The old engine ran fine with this carb and the carb is clean. When you blip the throttle wide open from tickover it bogs down and trys to stall but if you open the throttle a bit more gentley it'll rev quite nicely. I am right in thinking that a 4 Stroke engine is normally used for speed, rather then power? So if a four stroke engine is tuned for speed, if it would be used for trials it would be untuned to get a mixture of both power and speed? About the other topic of hating the four stoke, what that all about? They might not look the business, but when it comes into riding they MUST be better or near as good as the 2 strokes. They have to be, riders can't go back down the ladder of technology, after all its taken years to get up it since the 1980's when 4 strokes were in, now with it being in 2003 the technology is far better then it was now. I have a 2011 Beta Evo 4T gearing question. I find first ok but second and definitely third way to tall. What do people do, drop one tooth to a 10T on the front sprocket? happy for any input

Thats it for now i have tried all the new breed four bangers the new scorpa seems nice (to early to tell )but the sherco was fine for about three months. as a clubman level ride i think the scorpa will fit right in I am finally getting used to my monty (really soft usable power with restictors in ) and the kit is on the way for the sherco ,now this bike is really an expert level bike (to much power for me) Lots of people comment on the noise of the fourstroke have they never heard a pre 65 bike now that is noisey,but i love them aswell

First thing I did was take the kill switch off, nothing...not even a pop. There's no spark at the plug. Tried new plug and cleaning earth and connections on coil...nothing. I had done one lap of sections, refilled fuel, couple more sections completed. then stopped to walk a section and would not start...not a pop. Not found anything on a search, I guess they usually don't go wrong much. Is there anything that commonly goes wrong wrong on older bikes? mine is the first 05 model.

Does anyone know if sherco have sorted their hot starting problem on the 4 stroke 320 yet ??
