Hi, Just a question...how do you think the manufactures will deal with selling the new four stokes? Montesa for example, god knows how many 04 bikes they produce, but around most are already brought before they are realised (though deposits). The Four Stroke Honda (in my opinion) will be highly requested, as will other brands when their 4 strokes come out. Although the rule isn't in place till 2006, requests for these bikes will be massive. How will manufactures deal with this massive request? What are your opinions?

Thats it for now i have tried all the new breed four bangers the new scorpa seems nice (to early to tell )but the sherco was fine for about three months. as a clubman level ride i think the scorpa will fit right in I am finally getting used to my monty (really soft usable power with restictors in ) and the kit is on the way for the sherco ,now this bike is really an expert level bike (to much power for me) Lots of people comment on the noise of the fourstroke have they never heard a pre 65 bike now that is noisey, but i love them aswell

Some people are certain that the new four strokes are going to be a great addition to our sport. Some people are sure that it will mean the end of the world. Some people are wondering about the advantages that the four stoke will offer the trials rider. While it is true that we won't know for certain how they will perform until they get here, I found this description of four stroke power, written by Cycle World's Technical Editor Kevin Cameron, very interesting. "The major advantage of the four stroke is that its power, as the throttle is initially opened, begins near zero and increases smoothly, especially in mildly tuned engines with short cam timing. In the two stro…

Hi all, My bantams well on its way to being finished so though I would get myself another project. A BSA Barracuda 250cc. Im going to strip it down and convert it to yet another trials bike as I am planning on competing in a few trials :-) Question - Can I use My spare Bantam hubs and fit them to the bike and if they can will the braking be efficent enough to pass an MOT as I wil take it to local shows?? I Understand this is a popular modification??? With an 18'' wheel on the back and 21'' on the front what is the maximum tyre width I can fit on the rear without modifying the swinging arm. Can the swinging arm be modified easily or is there a replacment that I can…

Just wondering if any other Sherco 4t's have experienced this problem. When first adjusting the valves I discovered loose clearances in all four valves. Didn't think too much of it and shimmed to correct clearences. Several months later when checking them the intakes were fine but a lot of clearance in the exhaust valves. I Found the roller on the rocker arm that rides on the cam to push the valves is loose and turns but also moves up and down on the pin that holds it in place. The continued wearing is opening the exhaust valve clearance. The intake side is normal and rolls without problems as it should be. Has anyone else experienced this with their Sherco 4t or is…

Hi all, Would love to have animated this but no time. I centred both bikes around the swing-arm shaft. PS. I had to mirror the 2T.

Don't seem to hear much about the Montesa or the Sherco these days, what are the owners views on the bikes now they have had chance to give them a good testing? Would love to own a montesa in 12 months if the funds will allow, my local dealer was telling me alot of folks who bought them don't seem to be getting on with the fourstroke. Any thoughts from the horses mouth so to speak
