Whats the best result for the 4rt so far? Now James Lampkin has chosen the beta to ride rather than the montesa to mind is there anyone any good left on one? Who are Sandifords sponsoring and how did they do at the first national of the year the Vic Britton?

What's the feeling so far on the fuel range?. Should Nevissport in Fort William start stocking up on Sigg bottles now?.

Is the new mont really supposed to idle at 1800 rpm,the only one I have heard sounds very fast on idle.

Can any new 4RT owners tell me if the 04 315 rear wheel fits the new stroker? I appreciate it's the new AJP hub on the 4RT but just want to know whether to sell my spare wheel with my "old" Mont or whether it'll fit in the new 'un. Thanks in advance.

Can anybody help with a steel replacement rear brake pedal for a Cota 315. fed up with breaking the cast alloy ones which are very difficult to straighten.

I ran my 2001 mont on a Bosh WR8DP I found it ran very well on them (smooth on bottom end), just bought a 2004 mont and it knocks with it in I know the book says NGK BR6ES , but what do other people use on 2004 monts ? should I stick to NGK BR6ES

Hi, I’ve just picked up a 2nd long range tank ready for the SSDT (I hope). Can anyone recommend what paints I should use on it. The last owner painted it but it all blistered and came off when filled with fuel? Thanks

Hi all, Just wondered if anyone can help me with some basic maintenance info for this bike. I'd like to know, how much fork oil is recommended. How much transmission oil. AND, some friends here reckon you MUST use spark plug BR6ES?? That plug is hard to get here, do you reckon a BP6ES would be OK?? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi all! Hey I was just looking at my 2004 Montesa and noiticed much to my horror, the @#$% engine is leaking oil! The leak is from the engine sump, which has been damaged by repeated whacks of the skid plate against rocks. I have two large A shaped rocks in my group of practice sections, and apparently there is a large impact to the skidplate involved to make them. Consequently my rubber damper gets squashed badly and then the clutch cover gets distorted and opens up a leak. Hi all... Where can I get one of those "flat" front lights for my Montesa....you know the carbon looking one like the famous guys have. Guess it will cost too much..but would be nice to know. ANy ideas??...thanks in advance

The delay still can't be this 100 hour endurance test. If the bikes are in this country and not being sent out to dealers it surely must mean there is a mechanical problem. instead of a recall the modification will be carried out prior to the bikes being released to the public. At this rate i'll have retired from trials before i get a new mont 4rt

Dear all....a post on behalf of my mate that is looking to buy a Mont. He's not sure if its a 99 or 2000 model. I've been trying to "swot up" on the differences before I go to look at it with him. But they seem pretty similar..(plastics from what he says are not the proper ones anyway). Only OBVIOUS thing I can see is the 2000 had a stainless front exhaust. If anyone has any other obvious pointers...please let us know. Thanks in advance

My mate has just bought an old twinshock Montesa Cota 200. It has the Honda livery on the tank etc. He intends to tidy it up, at least get it back tp original colours etc. A pic of what a new one looked like would be a great help, (cant find anything on the web), also fuel to oil ratio would be beneficial. I've got a 99 315R and ive found that when i get down to about half a tank or so, the engine leans out when i am going down hill. It seems to me that the pickup in the tank is sucking air due to the low fuel level and the angle of the bike. But i shouldnt really have problems until i get really low on fuel. If anyone has any suggestions or has had this problem,let me know. It recently cost me a five at a local event when the bike leaned out and launched me out of the section.

Now all the 315R owners are going to be selling there bikes to buy the new Four Stroke now might be the time to buy nice S/H 315 for the right price. I would be looking at 2001 onwards, any faults or problems I should know about ?? I've got GG in the back of my mind but despite the cheap price of the new bikes (
