Mitani Front Pipes
I agree with ferretflasher. I have tried most of the accessories for the 4RT and feel that the programmable throttle body is the most worthwhile addition you could make. I have a map that totally transforms the bike into a softer much more controllable power curve that most clubmen would like. PM me if you would like it.

Thanks for the information anyway ishy. As mentioned before, it would be nice if Geoff could do this more often. He is a real credit to the sport.

A First
Since you have had this bike for a good length of time and have many many hours on it it could be that some corrosion somewhere in the fuel cut off system is causing the problem. The manual should be able to help you to troubleshoot this feature. I understand the safety intentions of this cut off but it is only something else that can go wrong. So far I have not heard of anyone else that has had this problem probably because they don't have as many hours on their bike. I hope you will inform all of us 4RT owners what conclusions you come to.

What Would It Take?
No, but I have known Carl for 35 years. Why did you ask?

What Would It Take?
Exactly why is it so important to standardize class names? In my district (D-4) we draw riders from New England, Pennsylvania, Eastern NY, Ohio, Canada as well as our normal ridership. We normally have 45-75 riders entered in our events. I have never over the years seen where our class designations have drawn any complaints or presented any problems for any of these riders. For riders outside our district a simple explanation of section difficulty at sign-up clarifies what sections the riders will ride. I think there is too much emphasis on this forum about class naming. It is not a problem at the local district level and it is pretty well defined at the National level. As a side note D-4 has produced more National class champions than any other district in the USA. Our system works.

Buying A Used 4rt
The only way to know if you will like the 4RT is to actually ride one for a few hours. Everyone has their own preferences for the skill level they are riding. If after spending some time with it and you like it - get one. If you don't like it for one reason or another, try something else. It is always better to get your own impressions of a bike because you are the one who has to live with it. I have never relied on the opinions of others when I buy. This way you have no one to blame but yourself if for some reason it does not work out for you. Personally I bought the 4RT when it first came out. It immediately filled all my expectations for my skill level and still does. This is not to say that it is the best trials bike available - it is the best bike for me at this time. It is the first bike of the 30 that I have owned that I have kept for a second season and perhaps many more. Good luck with whatever decision you make. I am sure we will hear about it on this forum - either positive or negative.

Sanz Has Big Impact On Us Pro Class
Let's not forget that in the US Pro class we have one of the worse whiners in the history of the sport - which I feel will eventually have an adverse effect on his future ability to get any company to support him. Most observers cringe at the thought of him riding their section because of his constant requests for re-rides and arguments over any points awarded him in the section.

World Championship Points
Think about it - Lane could have scored WTC points without having to ride any of the sections.

- Loading A Van The Kinell Way
Takes all the fun out of it but you asked so here is how it was done. The motorcycle makes a normal jump. The van is superimposed in place to make it look like it was there during the jump. Cables were hooked up to the van and yanked to simulate the supposed landing movement of the bike in the van. Very clever. The program showed a close-up of the supposed bike landing in the van and it was quite evident that he would have been decapitated as the combining of both videos was not lined up as close as one thinks. His head is some three inches higher than the rear door opening. Now all of your fantasies are shot.- Loading A Van The Kinell Way
