Brake squeal is primarily caused by the glazing of the surface of the brake pads. Try removing the pads and sand them on a flat surface with sandpaper. Voila !!! No more squealing.

Yes that is the fill place. Dextron III Mercon automotive transmission fluid works very well and is not at all expensive. Use 380cc after a complete drain of the old oil.

You guys have it easy. Fifty miles east of me they have had six feet of snow in the last week. That area is scheduled to get two more foot tonight. Lake effect snow can be be pretty hairy.
