whether pro or anti no stop, have to admit its shaken things up a bit! ....now if they enforce the rules woo hoo!
-
bet Raga is happier with no-stop now!
-
see a few people wearing chainsaw wellies, don't know what they are like but probably offer good protection!
-
-
had Beta's on and off (literally) for 25 years..never had a problem with spares, usually from BVM or John Lampkin, not that I have needed that many.
-
in the past 48 yrs i have changed oil X times ...always white! I assumed it was ally particles from the casings as a silver sludge settled out after a few hours leaving clear oil above...maybe from the plain plates in clutch? never had problem.....btw many of these bikes (most) were air cooled!
-
piston looks fine to me too
-
I fitted risers..35 mm I think, about £20 on ebay
-
take yer feet off the rests to lower c of g (and aid steering)...and chuck that ruddy haversack away He He!!
-
wrapped mine on last2 bikes (rev 3's) with cheap thin stuff...no problem..it even quietens it down a touch, which I like!
-
sadly snow has caused late cancellation of Gwent classic clubs trial 24/3/2013
-
Ha Ha I ride modern and twinshhock...but am blessed with long fingers!
-
I'm sorry if I caused confusion, just saying I use forefinger only on a long lever moved inward on the bar as far as possible so finger is alongside the ball end of lever to me that seems to give max leverage.
-
OK, reduce risk of bending and short levers reduce leverage...hence heavier action..simples
-
been doing this for 40+ years, also reduces risk of breaking in a fall
-
so what is the renewable feedstock that is not biomass?..just asking. food over rated? not if your starving....seriously i'm all for affordable renewable energy but what is" affordable"?
-
trouble is to produce these "biofuels" you have to sacrifice the production of food....its your choice...or is it?
-
well thought out post!...what about a "control" tyre,ie everyone uses the same (harder?) tyre? ...anyone got any more ideas?
-
for real authenticity walk the section moving all the markers (surreptitiously) with your boot!
-
In my opinion you won't get any better than the Yam!
-

-
been using RAW sport stuff for a few years now, good value, gloves for a tenner
-
many years ago none other than sammy miller proposed using road type tyres so section could be made easier. If no stop is to work the sections must be"right" (not easy)and the observing strict and consistent..again not easy...perhaps train an elite group for btc rounds...Hmmm not easy....
-
dont forget the screw behind the gearchange mechanism cover, the isolastic engine mount at the rear can be a sod too!
-
Quickest and simplest thing to try is drop the needle 1 notch ie move the clip to the next higher groove this should lean off the mid range.
