    Spare Wheel

A friend on mine has just bolted a late Gas Gas rear wheel to his 2015 4rt using one Montesa spacer and one Gas Gas one. They do fit. Graham.
  2. On my Sherpa which has cast iron liners in the hubs I found the Newfren shoes to feel a bit spongy and soft whereas the EBC ones just feel harder and seem to bite better. I might just be me as well. I run EBC`s on my Sherpa now and I am much happier. It is only in how they feel. Graham.
  3. Thanks gasserguy. I buy a lot of parts from In Motion but I was after some EBC shoes for an Italjet rather than the Newfren ones. Graham.
  4. Would anyone know which EBC brake shoes fit an Italjet T 250 or a 350. I bought some 841G shoes thinking they would be the same as an Armstrong or a Fantic but they are a bit small. Does anyone know the part number for an Italjet? The Bultaco ones are 831G in the 125mm size. EBC does not have a listing for an Italjet trials bike. Graham.
  5. Hi srm. First I would try just moving the kickstart lever one notch or spline forward on the shaft. If that does not work tighten the spring up a half turn or put a new kickstart return spring on it. Graham.
  6. I have used normal serrated washers and just tightened them up and they seem to be fine. I have had them apart again and all is okay. Graham.
  7. Did you remember the O ring that goes on the crankshaft behind the spacer behind the primary drive sprocket and weight. If you have then that should be fine. Graham.
  8. If you are in England I would try a few bike wreckers. The Alpina forks are exactly the same so it should not be to hard to find some. In Motion might also have some second hand parts too.
  9. I rode a two day trial in North Queensland over the weekend so today I washed my bike and then cleaned the brakes out and regreased the brake cams in each wheel and rotated the rear tyre to straighten the valve ready for our club day this Sunday. Ready to go again.

Hi oztim. I`m not sure on the Honda parts but for the condenser just use a car one of the same size. You can usually get one the same shape and mounting system and just wire it in. They work fine and are a lot cheaper. Graham.
  11. I think all of the Italjet Betor forks used the white plastic bottom bits but the rest of the damper rods were the same as all the late Bultaco ones that I have seen. They all had the same size bolts in them as well. 8mm x 1.25 thread. Scot, those rubbers look like they should work fine. Might I enquire why you have two bolt holes in your petrol tank? Was the tank melting on the exhaust? Graham.
  12. The Sammy Miller mudguard brackets seem to be a bit stiffer than the standard brackets. This helps the forks a lot. If you have a look at a few photos of the Puma bikes you will see they have aluminium mudguard brackets on them which look to be very stiff and would stop the forks from moving at all. Graham.
  13. Hi Bondy. The 199 A damper rods should be the same as the 198 B ones. I am using Italjet damper rods in my 151 (I think) forks which are on my 199 B. The standard ones used to top out like crazy and using Italjet ones stopped that.
  14. My 151 engine in my Sherpa also has no head gasket. I`m still trying to find the original 199B engine for my bike. Graham.
  15. If you mean the plastic or aluminium screw over the middle of the clutch the last very stiff one I removed I cut a piece of steel the width of the slot and ground it down to just fit in the slot and used a shifter to move it. This worked very well so I now have a steel tool for future use.Graham.
  16. Bondy, don`t forget that the grease nipples only grease in between the inner and outer bushes. It does not lubricate the swingarm axle at all. So that means unless you pull the axle out and grease it it will get stuck onto the steel inner bush. Graham.
  17. I put an Italjet rubber drain thing on my aluminium 199B airbox. It has a tube style drain with a split in the end of it so any water getting into the airbox just drains out. I don`t think the B`s have a mudflap on the airboxes. I`ll have a look at an original one tomorrow. Mine is not original. Graham.
  18. Well I turned my X 11 around so I would have a nice square edges on my tyre ready for round 2 of the Queensland Moto Trials Series on Sunday. Then I actually went for a ride surprising the hell out of myself. Practicing before an event rather that practicing in an event. Shocking!
  19. Some also had a red wire for the brake light as well. I think it was red anyway. Graham.
  20. I have had an In Motion one in my Sherpa M199B for the last three years now and it is still fine. I have a brand new spare but I have not had to use it as yet. The one I had in before that was okay except the airfilter would not stay glued to the rubber so I used the rubber to go on a friends M199A standard airbox. That was a couple of years ago and it is still fine. So I would change where you buy yours from Larry. Graham.
  21. All the 199 B`s I have seen all have no cutaway for the hub to miss the fork leg, the same as the 199 A`s. It will also help your axle clamp if you line the slot or cut in the spacer up with the slot in the fork leg. All of the Bultaco off road bikes (that I have seen) came with two fork seals in each side. Use seals off a KTM SX 65 2002 to 2009. With these seals you only need one a side. The last Sherpa`s used what ever parts they could find so they might have had any Betor legs on them. I think the SWM`s with Betor forks only had pinch bolts on one side too. Graham.
  22. I once tried to buy some at a bearing shop over here in Australia and I was told that they did not have that size on their lists of tapered bearings. They did not come that narrow only in a wider size. I mean the height of the bearing. It may be different over there. The In Motion ones are good and they are cheap compared to the bearings over here.
  23. I know the M213 primary flywheel is the same as the 325 Sherpa and the early 250 Alpina ones are the same as the Sherpa so you would think M188 would be the same as the 213 and the 325 Sherpa`s. I also have a broken M151 flywheel too.
  24. There is also www.bultaco.com in the US.
  25. Trum, if you have a look at Bondy`s post above there is a picture of an In Motion ignition there. The black wire from the ignition goes up to the black box and also goes to the kill switch. You have to earth both the black box(I think) and the coil. All the colours match up. They are really straight forward to do. Graham.
