New to Dumfries
Good man 'those gas bottles should make things interesting. Maybe we'll see you out east sometime if the bug really bites plenty stuff on here, Don't worry about sections get the basics hardwired in first.

Why do we ride trials?
Reading ridgruns post shows not all 's better in uncle Sam land than old Blighty. No living Scotsman would drive 300 miles to a trial let alone stop drinking at 5am just to get there on time.

BTC dates
I think Mull moved to Fintry (not the Dundee one) I guess the logistics were problematic. Saying that Lanarkshire are serial odd venue fans. Try Galashields,Penicuik and Dalrigh for regular trials. It's like they don't want any members from Lanarkshire,

Why do we ride trials?
I look at what my friends (Do have the odd one) and their families do at the weekends and compare it to what we do. It's normally gie mundane like read the papers, walk in the park, couple of pints, visit relations. watch the footie etc. I'm jumping off big rocks on a 20hp pogo stick with junior there's nothing better.

BTC dates
Guessing at the Academy still plenty time for an entry.

BTC dates
I asked about that on your old forum. I think it's set up just to keep everything tight as you know club members with different opinions can cause a lot of bother. Sandy Mack's the boss I'm told so it'll be spot on.

Alestrem Hard Enduro
The on board footage of GJ is well worth a watch. It's an education in itself the course was just so hard.you will be sweating watching it. Emporer Hirohito was kinder to his Kamikazi pilots than the CoC was to those riders. Even ice cool Jarvis had a moment or 2 it must have taken all his patience not to launch into the Husky into the great blue yonder Awsome riding

Dibs withdraws SSDT entry
So cruel; Off topic we could be brothers, I've got a Scorpa 163 too. Had it since new frame No 3. Tell me it's the best bike you've ever owned, mine is by a mile. The Ossas only for show.

Look on the bright side everyone's moved up a place.

2007 Prototype GasGas four stroke trials machine development
Imagine it would be good in UK conditions rather than the test conditions with plenty grip. Bit of a waste but at least Gas Gas is still on the go. Hope they invoiced the FIM and Honda for all that work.

Flywheel weight fitting
Up here Nigel there's more 300 Scorpas than you can shake a stick at which you'll know is an Orange Sherco. Never any 250s but to a bike they all fit flywheel weighs on the 300s. Easier to control but never seem as nice as stock. Personally I would knock the timing back slightly and fiddle with the gearing. Still would ride like a 300 at the end of the day

How old are we ?
I sure can see why 999 is your favourite number. When I finally lose it which may be nearer than I think I'll invest in a sidecar. All those riders I've helped over the years can take turns in driving me round the course. Naturally I will be obliged to comment on their riding ability spiced with any other derogatory remarks I can come up with. Looking forward too it already.

Normandale changes
I'm fine, though I was 54 on Tuesday and b40 never even sent me a card ,it hurts.

OKO not OK!
Certainly a red face job, there's a small "jet" which sits above the main jet nozzle which I was totally unaware existed. This was lying on the garage floor which a oko supplier told me it would be . Certainly a prize puddin of the week on TC award due. Bikes spot and and for the record miles better than all the modified twinshock Fantics that folk spend £1000s on. Shame the Sections only worth 50p and 3 Barrs bottles.

How old are we ?
Really don't know I've thought about this for years and failed to come up with any format which wont deteriorate into a flat out race. I've had ideas from other folk too but most rely on riders being sensible which a lot aren't.. I'll work out something but it'll likely be my downfall.

Bike options for kids!
I would rather someone with first hand experience commented, I've only heard figures which put me off even considering it.

Bike options for kids!
This has been my experience recently Oset 20r TY 80 Beta sw80 so have to agree. The Osets miles better to ride than the ty 80 and more competitive but frankly unless your hobby is pushing bikes back to the pits follow by a very sad small child you have to run petrol.(Or lipo if you're rich)

Algarve trials?
Hello there don't tell me you're homesick. You're certainly missed. Hope you and the boss are well maybe see you sometime when it's hotter. Cheers the noo.

How old are we ?
I agree youngsters are a problem mainly because you need a committed parent as well. Still making plenty 40+ new riders up here even though that's probably the age that most Scots are ready for the scrapheap. No shortage of land up here or riders for that matter but I still think the old dour stop start walking all the sections set up is a bit past it. Must be something better that would attract younger folk.

OKO not OK!
Cheers folks funny feeling you're right about this jet block gasket. I didn;t hold back with the air line. It wasn't running consistantly at the trial so pehaps it was dodgy anyway. Thanks again just have to find out who's got spares now.

OKO not OK!
It's an odd one this but any ideas welcome. Old Fantic Section with an OKO carb was running fine but after a wet trial decided to clean carb. Blew out pilot / main etc and now the bike barely runs it's getting a massive amount of fuel. Float needle valve untouched and the carbs not flooding.floats working as they should. Needle looks fine . Really can;t think what's causing this must be something basic to be this far out. Go tell me what i've done wrong and I'm an idiot.

How old are we ?
Impressive and a genuine pre 65 rider, I've mucked around for over 40 years ride more now than I ever did.

italjet piuma t250
Hi bikestat, would be surprised if anyone even on here had the numbers, Feeling Appleyards were the importers then ,still about so they might know. As Nigel said very rare rode a 350 (325) I think in the 84 Six days same as yours so it'll be late 83,84 ish. Notable riders were Peter Cartwright and Gerald Richardson. Phillip Berlatier was there man in WTC. All I know . Happy hunting.

Show Us Your Ossa
Very tidy. mine's still on the original stickers plus a few battle scars and looks a bit jaded. They still look more modern than any of the current offerings such a waste. pS Nice dog it would be next choice after the border collie.

Normandale changes
You're so cruel Ross but I'm nearer 65 than 40. Feel about 80 with this man flu anyway there will be an instant cure when I hit the first section tomorrow.
