  1. Dont think it would be much of a loss, terrible venue. Give our lads a ****ing chance and go to a venue representative of british terrain!!!!
  2. LHM is fine, cheap as chips too
  3. The need for floating discs is so that the outer rotor can expand due to heat without warping. On most bikes the front brakes get a lot hotter than the rear meaning there isnt a great need for a floating rear disc. This is how it is on most road bikes, i imagine its the same reason for trials. The rear disc is also smaller so probably less likely to warp as well
  4. I never knew this. Is this too extreme the other way?? """ Things were looking good for Bristow to take the double victory, right up until the tenth section of her second lap where she was penalised five marks for walking the section, a practice which is not permitted in the European Championship. .""""
  5. Oh i totally agree, he gets away with murder 99% of the time. I only posted that because it was nice to see him getting a five for once
  6. Have a look at 17:30, bou gets done for a stop. Some observers just have the balls while others dont
  7. A dab for a stop, observers are just too scared to give a 5, especially to world champions. If its only a 1 the rules will be enforced more strictly
  8. To me this is part of trials, and i kind of hope it always will be. Thats the benefit of riding something last, and being able to slightly modify the section to suit a different line. If everyone rode the same line and conditions it would be boring. I must stress "slightly" though nobody wants heavy modification, and to me washing a rock with some water is ok, but not ok that its the minder!!!! Id much rather see this than Toni riding up a section, stopping for good 3 seconds and coming away with a clean, which he does on a regular basis
  9. I blame trialGP, they never addressed this issue at the start of the season. In my opinion the ideal rules are a dab for a stop. Theyve run these rules before at world and british level and everyone liked them. 5 for a stop is too harsh. The observer feels more confident in giving a 1 for stop, so the rules are enforced more strictly and the rider doesnt mind as much for being penalised for a 1. It also allows a rider to stop to get that section that may have been marked out a little too hard for non stop. Its the perfect halfway house
  10. Think i preferred the FIM videos from previous years, twice the length, better camera work, production, and commentating
  11. Luckily they gave credit! lol
  12. Why didnt he ride his 300, the bike he rides every other day of the year, and try to win it? Pot hunting much?
  13. Start with the cheapest and easiest, throttle and sprocket. If they arent enough then retard the ignition timing or flywheel and low compression head.
  14. If you solely want a larger tank, why not try a contact tank (looks nicer IMO)
  15. Good chance then the bike shipped with no grease in the linkages
  16. I wouldnt worry too much about the squeaking rear brake, lots of bikes do it. As long as its not generating drag. How fresh are the pads?
  17. Check out california connection, thats how most of my uk mates get bikes delivered from america
  18. Agree with all the above, well used filters can get a bit slack where the cage pushes against the airbox and it can be possible for a gap to form. While you can usually get away with riding a couple of times on one oiled filter during the winter when the mud is clumpier, when its dusty i always make sure to have a clean filter on each outing
  19. Just a guess, kickstart shaft?
  20. A clean sy250 would be a great bike, probably the most reliable of bikes that age, but as said above best to go for as clean a bike as you can irrespective of make. Personally i would go for a 250, an oldish 125 will have even less power than when it left the factory
  21. Seen this happy to a couple of guys boots in my club, so it is a weakness. I've had mine a few months and really really happy with them. Sidi do a slightly different designed boot, still trials, but with a steel toe cap. I suppose this would help a lot. It looks like the upper is only stitched to the black sole and then the grey piece is glued on. Could a good boot repairer not run a couple of stitches through it for you?
