  1. Double check the fuel cap is venting or just remove it and make sure fuel is entering the bowl and clean the carb. If it still acts the same, get a new jet tower o ring and remove the jet tower and clean out the passages at the same time.
  2. Here in the states the problem is every state has a different set of laws for off road vehicles. That is 50 laws that hardly ever are even close. In fact half the states do not register or title off road vehicles, and other states that do 50% of the bikes never get proper documentation. All my new bikes have papers, all my vintage do not.
  3. 7 is a hard age. Just depends on the kids size. You are better off to let them ride bicycles till they are ten or 11. I know you want to. My son rode his first event at 2 1/2 years old on a gas powered motorcycle. He was a big kid. PW 50 YAMAHA, then a Beta 50, 3 different ty 80's. A gas gas 80, to a beta 250, 300 Raga, 250 Sherco, 300 4rt beta 300 RR Trs and now a 300 rr Montesa. Lots of fun, but I could of just waited till he was 11 or 12 when HE really wanted to ride. He just turned 24 and I just bought a 2021 Beta 80 for my 12 year old grandson. So I put the Beta 80 in my sons name hoping that we can make that bike last until he has a son that will learn on it. The electrics can be fun at home in the yard but totally suck at an event once the batteries die. FInd a nice condition ty 80 and just let him have fun until he really wants to ride.
  4. All those are junk bikes. ALL of the posts you do is crap. You have no clue where a vin is on a motorcycle and you act like you have some vast knowledge.?,? Go back to your mothers basement.
  5. That was probably the original problem. A new M/C is in your future.
  6. I did mine Sunday. 14mm off the left and about 25mm off the right. I have an aluminum throttle tube that sits about 10mm wider due to the bearing. I also removed the magnet and put a real teather kill switch under my bar pad. The tether will attach to my fanny pack, so no more killing the engine waving at friends.😄
  7. I would ask him where that formula master cylinder came from. WE were throwing those in the trash not long ago.
  8. You going road racing? You could only removed so much, or is it on another bike?
  9. The rim should have the size stamped in it. I does not go by tire size.
  10. We call that whiskey throttle on this side of the pond. You have moved you hand to where you cannot move the throttle back to the idle position. When you hit your wrist is pulling the throrrle even more. Slow the whole movement down and get to the clutch quicker. Also your levers are too low to ever have full control.
  11. Did you pull the cylinder and check the piston and rings? You could also just pull the header pipe.
  12. That was my first trials bike at 12 years old. I learned alot on that bike. But mainly how to crash, as I could not touch the ground. Clean or a 5 back in that first year I rode it. Have fun.

    Rev vs Evo?

Besides parts availability, the evo turns far sharper.
  14. The dotted green line is correct by Billy. I have used that setting myself on various Beta models
  15. A new or newer Beta 250 is quite mild than all the other brands. Ride one and see. Note the compression on the 250 is way softer than even a 200 and the power is on the soft side.

    new models ?

My son also thought the 260 looks the best. But I was working on a 260 Sunday, and jumped back on my 301. Huge difference power wise

    new models ?

Just buy the plain front and rear fender as they are cheap without stickers.
  18. Have you pulled the reed cage off to see who dropped the bolt in a pedal?
  19. Did you rrplace the top hat and spring? With out the clutch on the shaft could the shaft move off the spring? Seems like it kept the shaft from moving. Been about 8 years since I did my last one. Good luck.
  20. Well more info is needed. Is it all the way together? By spinning the sprocket, you should be able to get all the gears. What did you replace?
  21. Sorry nobody has responded, but you are better off to take the fork apart. Inspect and clean it and refill with 5 wt oil. By now that poor old bike probably needs a new spring in that left fork.
  22. A 150 main jet was stock on the 350`s, so a 160 is way too big. At least try a 150, but something even smaller would be best.
  23. They only service info is long gone, unless you find something printed out on the net. Gas Gas never made a manual other than the parts break down and the owners manual just had basic info like capacities. It`s a very basic bike to work on as long as you have spark!
  24. MY son has a 300rr and I just got a 301. I have a 42 on the rear of mine and the topend on the 301 is still much faster in first gear. Totally different feel as the engine brake is hard to notice on the new model.
