  1. Just before the white tube throttles came along, everyone ran a small ramp. It was just a slim piece of aluminum that fit in the throttle housing to make it a fast throttle. I am sure it is very similar.
  2. The Sherco info came out the first week in June.
  3. So go back to the 115 main, 52 pilot and move the clip to the third one down.
  4. Both of those are junk compared to a ty 80. You have not a clue what a good ty80 can do.
  5. You are probably correct on this Billy. As when I bent my bars, I swear I felt my toes hit my lever. By the way, I have always ran my lever with no tip. So it is barely a stub sticking up.
  6. We have more people in our club that have gone back to 2 strokes after owning a 4RT. And a few that went to a Beta 4T. And only one that had a 4RT Repsol, then four Beta 4T`s and now rides a 300RR. Everyone wants to own a Honda in theory, but not everyone can ride one! I guess I am waiting for the 351RR.
  7. It becomes a mess if you mix the wrong fluid. Or that could be what is wrong with the clutch!
  8. I believe the `03 used dot 4. Somebody correct me if I am wrong. The clutch should have a green cap on the mc if it takes mineral oil.
  9. PS. The trick to getting the kick start lever off is just loosening the bolt two - three turns and folding out the lever. It pry`s itself off pretty slick.
  10. It is best to lay the bike on the ground while working on the clutch. You do not have to drain the coolant. Just fold the cover to the side and use a strap to hold it out of the way. There is a small washer that goes on the KS shaft. It usually sticks to the case. Don`t lose it. You can just measure the finger height. 17.5 mm is the best. If you are down around 14mm the plates are swollen.
  11. Yep, my boss took his son`s to South Africa for a motorcycle tour on Yamaha 660`s. Somewhere I still have the video of the eldest son adjusting his go pro helmet cam at about 60 mph. He missed a corner and smashed his right foot into a boulder. His Gaerne`s did little help. Very expensive trip, with the medi-vac and the bike was totaled. Myself I continue to sit down and smash my toes at least a few times a year. My Gortex Garne`s left Italy this morning.LOL.
  12. Gaerne trials boots are lacking protection, but most foot injuries on a trials bike happens while being seated. Standing on the pegs is way safer. Ask me how I know.
  13. So where is the clip for the needle, position wise. Are you using the stock air box? So does this thing wonder up and down depending how warmed up the bike is?
  14. The 6 inch bars with maybe a small shim would be the way to go. The Rox risers do not belong on any trials bike.
  15. I don't, BUT I created the bike for my son. Which those crazy guys bought and created thier own class of craziness.
  16. The humane body is proportianate, nothing should really matter. You do not see short people raising the pegs and lowering the bars. You actually have quite the gift, grasshopper like jumping ability. Forever long dabs. My little boy is 6` 5. he fits a stock bike nicely.
  17. You did not lose the little needle jet holder when you cleaned the carb? You might send a picture of around the slide area. We have seen that happen before. Only on the forums. LOL.
  18. Well, the reason I spoke up I own a pair of the bars from a 2020 Sherco. I had bent my bars badly during an event and the only bars that my dealer had with them was the stock bars that had been replaced with the low Renthal. It was a two day event and I could not ride worth a crap with that silly bend I believe they are reffered to as a Buffalo bend.. Of course I bought the Renthals also as soon as I could. My son is 6`5 inches tall. He has never needed tall bars, bend your knees. The taller the bar the less leverage you actually have. There is thousands of trials video`s out there of the top rider`s, they all have short bars. Go ride any vintage bike, tall pegs and short position bars.
  19. I would go up to a 52 pilot and see if that clears it up. When was the last time it had mains and seals?
  20. Not only are they too high, but a ridiculous bend. Rubbish parts on a brand new bike. hgas obviously knows this.
  21. The stock bars are already too high.
  22. Here I thought AHRMA dropped trials about 5 years ago.
