Lack of fuel? It does have the fuel pump. Try it with the tank completely full. That helps sometimes.

That set up should work fine. I rode with Pirrelli`s on Aprillia`s quite a bit with 4 to 4 1/2 pounds and never had issues.

Beta could just do a suspension upgrade and it would do wonders for the bike. I love my Beta, but my son just got a TRRS 300. Everything about his bike is better. Better power, suspension, brakes, clutch, and it balances way better. Looks to be a brand change in our family. Just as I was getting used to my new dealer.

You also need to pull the flywheel and check the iitegrity of the key itself. It could have sheard.

It is in awesome shape, but the early `95 model actually had water cooled center cases. Which had a corrosion problem. You might be able to check by VIN number. Trials parts USA would be your best friend. I would find this out soon as it would be a shame for this bike to be a lemon. They had a kit that blocked the passages to the lower cases. Plus side is you have the later model fork seal holder. The earlier model had green dust seals, This to was an issue that year. They were a great bike for the year.

Install a new condenser. The body to the frame (So it is grounded) mount it by the coil under the tank. Just splice it into the black wire going to the coil. Sure beats pulling the flywheel off!

Not the first starting problem. We had a sponsored rider at our National that took him forever to get the bike started at a section. He has been riding Vertigo since they came out and previously he rode Ossa. Personally they can take FI bikes and crush them all including Honda`s. Not worth the time or hassle. Trials bikes were meant to be a simple machine. Besides this problem the Vertigo power is impressive.

Yes, start with pads as those could be contaminated with oil. And yes, if you leave the fuel on it could flood the motor.

There is no reason to do either mod. They only went to the Del Orto one year and it did not carb well. In 2008 they had a Keihen and it ran the best. I had three 2001 Rev 3`s and they all worked great. But then again they were new.

You need to make sure what carb you run. We also need to know what elevation you ride at. Colorado`s a big state! Most likely it is a float level/idle speed problem.

I just got a TL 250 running this afternoon. Stock carb. Been sitting 4 years or more since it was last running. Just replaced all rubbers in carb and cleaned it. In 1982 I did a 300 kit and do not remember jetting being a problem. I also had the first TL 250 in our state as poor me was sponsored on one. But it was free.Good luck.

You need new plates or you put it together wrong. Why did you take it apart?

The fans had a short life span. Find a bike wrecker as most fans can be fit fairly easily on this model. Do yourself a favor and buy some trials bars.

With the age of the bike you might consider changing the o rings in the top hat of the slave cylinder. They start leaking, it could cause several problems. By the way dex 3/mercon. Been using it in all my trials bikes for more than 30 years.

It is hard to compare years after riding the 300 back to back with a 260 and then a 2006 with a 280 kit. The 300 is far better.

Dot 4 in the brakes. Atf around 400 cc. I think that only the Raga went to mineral oil in the clutch in 04. The clutch cap should be green for mineral oil. Double check the year of the bike. It is usually hard to find nuetral while running.

I try to keep my carb loading a constant level the day before. (18 beers or less.) Then start the morning with water, 2 cups of coffee and move up to at least 64 oz of pedialite and more water. More water and another 32 0z of pedialite during the event. The after event doping depends on injuries and pain.
