  2. Griff converted the first TLR 250 to a mono, I watched him do it, he worked for Kenmar leasure at the time in Harrogate at the fleet repair shop, he must of cost them a fortune in free welding wire alone Gollner liked the mod and I think Griff worked with him on it a bit. Don't know why, but every time I went by that shop, it stunk of fish.
  3. "Fifty five miles in five hours twelve minutes" Well done lass, Sat in the SSDT is only 6 more miles and they give you 6 hr 55 min to do it.

    Terra Nova

Always said I would do it, and it looks like this year is it. October 12th and 13th, talked with Adrian Lewis he said he and John Haaker would go, Jay Terry and Tom young are going,Stan Bakgaard is off, Dennis and Keith Sweeten are possible. I looked up the VMC web site http://vmc.bc.ca/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1 couldn't find info for entries, do I need to send in a entry form ?
  5. Power goes to one side of the temp sender all the time, when the sender gets warm the bi metal strip makes contact and closes the circuit providing power to the fan motor. To check the temp sender, with a meter check for resistance at both connectors on top of the sender, it should show open, infinate resistance, if not you have two bad senders, if open, then I would look for wrong wiring to the fan motor.
  6. Don't think he is K, but this fella must be

    Isde

Dennis Sweeting is having a crack at the ISDE this year, link to results > http://www.isde2008-live.gr/ I wonder how it compares to the SSDT and which he will go for next year ? PS he's riding the C3 class.
  8. Rider A cannot say what B got or did not get, nor can he protest B's score, but "O" didn't like B, and A thought he had beat B, only to find out B, only beat A, because of O, was this on the A line or the B line Or, did B, and O, pull a fast one after B had lost some dabs at O's section, knowing A, would beat him, if the section was scrubbed, then B, would have less points, this would P, A, off, and O along with B, could of got away with a sharp F, up. BDMC, C O C, & O,A, B, ACU, + TC, are trying to decipher the code.

  12. I would of thought people would be asking if this was his last world championship ride ?
  13. As an update on Lolo pass, this past few weeks I have been spending a fair bit of time up there unearthing sections you lads probably last rode on old twin shockers. Many of which only require start and end cards, and few if any split markers, with the odd floating turn it should give the modern bike riders a crash course in the basics of riding a trials bike.
  14. Looks like way too much cream cakes, and not enough roo cababs.

    Ahrma Upgrade ?

Old trials riders don't embrace change, I rode one or two of the old AHRMA events on a modern twin shocker for fun. And my opinion, is! it's not really trials, more of a parade for old blokes to meet and show other old blokes, old iron. If AHRMA don't want to play, then it's no big deal, there are people out there that do. The modern classic or twinshock bike is more than capable of competing in today's US novice / intermediate lines, if I was wanting to put on a twinshock event, to attract riders and boost interest I would have two lines, and the event would be open to twin shock A and B, plus any modern bike rider who found those level of section enjoyable to ride. Isn't the idea to get people out on bikes having fun? just by putting one simple split marker in a section you can cater for four or more classes. I think the key is finding the difficulty levels of the majority of riders in each class, then stick to those levels for all events.
  16. "a gel saddle and padded cycling shorts!" your depends will work just fine flower, then you can pee and peddle at the same time. Must be worth a few bob.
  17. Rod, way too much bike for you lad, if your keen on a gasser, go for a 200. And get thi sad ass up to Lolo pass Sep 6th & 7th.
  18. I don't see a lot of publicity about this event either > British Solo Trials Champs. Date: 03rd August 2008 Organiser: Yeadon Guiseley & DMC Venue: Brimham Rocks, nr Pateley Bridge. Have people just lost interest, can't be bothered, or just don't care ? I think they have. I was always tought, if your going to do a job, do it right or don't ******* bother. TC could / should hunt down some info, make the odd phone call to the right man in the know, or again has the interest gone. -

    Switch Back

If the $3 plastic trophy was the be all and end all of riding trials, I would probably go for Sherco 250 2t has weapon of choice, but I seem to have more fun riding four bangers, and I'm only in the game for fun.

  24. I thought the Cucamonga plonka would be well roasted by now, bout time a good wind got up and blew that ash pile they call California out to sea. Fraceman was p***ing and moaning about tough sections at Ioco this past weekend, he must be getting old. Kinell selling his trials iron, took up wan kin, and Perce is crying a bucket load about some pillock who said he's ugly and his wife dresses him funny, guess nowts changed.
