  1. Rules state dragging your foot is a three, any part of the body in contact with the ground is a one, this includes foot while still on the peg, nothing in the rules say's these can also be counted as a one or a clean. Any observer can only score what they see, but if they do see it then it has to be scored by the rules. A good strict observer will often come under attack from riders for doing the job properly, for an easy afternoon observing and to avoid conflict, is being lenient, fair to all the riders ?.

    09 Natc Season

I think a $25 penalty for entering the Fri before the event is a sensible amount, and probably encourage a late entry, the $200 late entry fee of last season was a bit of a show stopper. If I feel like riding an event two or three days before the event I'm more likely to go on the spur of the moment. I plan on taking the kid's to TTC but might get a bee up my ass before hand and do the Omaha round also, depending on what is going on at the time.

    09 Natc Season

From the front page of NATC site " We lowered the entry fees to $75 for riders, $40 for minders. Late fees are $100 on Friday before weekend events and $150 for day of event for riders. Minder late fees are $50. The refund period is extended to two weeks after the event." Correct me if I'm wrong, if a riders arrives at Omaha Friday the 29th and enters for the events on the 30th and 31st, the entry fee is $100 ?. AND " We adopted a twin shock class that will ride the support line" What are the rules on bike requirments, Age of machine, air cooled, twin shock, drum brake ?.
  4. On most bikes, you just hook the bike breather hose to the aux fuel cell, it has it's own breather, when the fuel level drops a bit in the bike tank it causes a vacuum and starts to siphon fuel from the aux tank. I think you need to replace the stock rev 3 breather hose with one a little larger to make it work, but it should no problem, the idea is to siphon that fuel off first so your not riding with the weight of the fuel on your front forks all the time. They are a good little unit to have just for long trail riding and fit all machines, so well worth buying one for that purpose alone.

    08 Raga 300cc Fan

One of the hoses will have a T in it, with a round thingy and two wires going to it, probably red and black, both will have spade conectors and be side by side, get a paper clip flatten each end of it so it will slide in each connector then start the bike. I think your not getting the bike warm enough for it to kick on, water in a connector, or loose connector.
  6. Japan had a few good riders in the mix not long back, jobs getting worse not better. I think top placed domestic national champions qualifying for a three day world championship week would make for a more sensible situation. Trials is an amateur sport with a few professional players retained by a large company the others can't compete with, what point is there banking yourself trying to keep up. In thirty three years of world trials championship's it hasn't been able to win Joe public over enough to make a go of it, in fact it's receding, wouldn't it make more sense to cater for the true follower of the sport rather than ego.
  7. At 700 quid I think it's well worth buying and getting the motor sorted at a good shop.
  8. How many trick ideas you see on competition motorcycles are home grown, and started life in the back yard shed. I hope the fellow can make a go of it, it's hard enough without your own countrymen shooting you down before the get go. It made me feel good to see the JPS Norton in front of all the rice rockets at Olivers mount, it might of been a year or two ago, but it still is a vivid memory.

    Wilber Shocks

Anyone tried cutting a length of old front tube sliding it over the shock like a boot, that should keep the dirt out . I did Have a TRP on the last 250 sherco I had, I thought it was very good and an improvement over the stock unit, like a dipstick a sold the bike with the TRP on it and not the stock unit. How does the Wilber compare on price to the TRP or the stock unit ?
  12. Bikes have changed a lot since the rules were made, and just can't get the distance they once used too. Having more fuel stops would be a lot more expensive than riders buying and fitting a auxiliary unit. The auxiliary fuel cell, is made for the job, the plastic bottles etc are not, and bikes do run out of fuel, so many riders will take a drop with them to avoid pushing the bike and loosing time. I think it make's sense to permit a properly constructed tank that fit's all bikes and is fair for all riders to have the option to use one.
  13. It's a lot safer to carry a pint in a water bottle in your pocket with thi fags and lighter, that way your leg stops it harming the bike when she goes up.
  14. I started a topic on this a year or two back asking does it make more sense for the importers to sell direct, in the US. I think it is getting closer, less disposable money, bike prices going up, I see the dealer as just another dip in an almost empty bucket. Does it make sense for all to go down with the ship?, I don't see a lot of incentive for the trials only dealer to keep going if there is nothing in it, the passion only carries you so far when the rent is due. Maybe we can all go ask for bailouts from our respective governments, it's nothing for them to give 36 billion to a company that still fails a month later, truth is! people in business will have to get creative to survive, the world is about to receive a global laxative and after the fan stops spinning only a few won't get covered in the fallout.
  15. I have used it, I'm not sure it would work too well on a Fantic tank as they have a kind of orange peel texture, it works ok on smooth plastic, all that was in the box was a fine emery cloth, wire wool and a bottle of silicon, most of the job is just elbow grease, no magic formula. I did a RTL rear fender with it, lot of sanding until smooth, then add a silicon liquid like armour all, let dry and rub down lightly with fine wire wool, then repeat amour all and wire wool step a few times.

    Dabster Is Due!

Hard to tell if Dabster is a unibrow with them thick bloody glasses he wears.
  17. "The fan control switch was tucked away into the top of the radiator. Very neat! held in with a C clip. Again simple. What a PERK!" Might be a none issue, but in the past on many makes, the location of the temp sender was moved from an high point in the system to a lower location in the sytem, Beta included, reason being if they get a bit low on coolant the temp sender won't work, if the temp sender doesn't work, then the fan doesn't work. The neck and higher location of the filler cap on the evo may take care of this.
  18. This same thing came up about five years ago, everyone was spouting doom, then it all went away, did the AMA manage to de rail it! I don't know, or is it some ****e a congressman keeps trying to pass every few years ?. I can't see anyone wanting to take the blame for more jobs lost in today's climate, I think like last time it will probably all just go away.
  19. The Spanish indoor championship has just ended, looks like it was close. CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL CLASSIFICATION POS. RIDERS pts 1 BOU Tony (MONTESA) 42 2 CABESTANY Albert (SHERCO) 40 3 RAGA Adam (GAS GAS) 38

  21. Last time I was able to get to the store was Saturday, since then we have had a couple more feet of snow, got plenty of food and firewood, and not lost power yet, but the way trees are coming down, with the weight of snow and ice on them it won't be long before we are out of power. Lad's are having a good time though.
  22. Well I have a new trials iron but seem to be struggling to find grip. Merry Christmas all
