  1. Perhaps a Westcoast National series could be created by designating certain PNTA events and certain SoCal events that would count towards a West Regional championship. Would be fairly easy to organize and I know that the top riders from my area would be motivated to compete in.
  2. Perhaps a west coast and east coast championship series, best 3 out of 5 events would qqualify you for a 3 event one weekend National championship
  3. The Pacific Northwest also has a regional series that includes Wa, Or, and BC in Canada.
  4. Glenn: As far as I know, the Costa was made in very low numbers. It is NOT just a 97. But from what I understood, no one ever really saw one. I would be suprised if it was a Costa, but keep us posted. Would be cool to know if one made it over the pond or not! Steve
  5. Is there not police who ride trials bikes....even enter a team in the SSDT....who quite posibbly could be given special permission to patrol some of these areas at said times riding said trials bikes....without looking like police???? Just sayin
  6. You guys are hardcore!!! Wish I could go, but endless riding here and don' even have to drive!
  7. Back in the late 80s early 90s, I had a pair of PInk Alpinestars!!!! orginally on a dare, but loved them and wore them all the time!
  8. Ahhhh, one of these days! I have ridden at Alvie estates before, while practising for the 92 SSDT. My mate lives in Aviemore, so one of these days will make it over again, this time with the vintage bike and ride this event. Now if it could happen on either side of the SSDT, wow, what a couple weeks of riding! Stevee
  9. YES! Same venue, same great atmosphere and sections. Look forward to seeing you there!
  10. is the trial still held in Alvie?
  11. looks like an ultralight to me....
  12. Hey Copey: We will be having our Canada Trials training days on the 3rd weekend of April, guest instructor will be none other than Mr. Ryan Young. Looking forward to seeing him in OUR backyard, and spending two fun days with lots of riding, and some time with an old friend! Steve
  13. I had the same problem with an S3 head on a Sherco. Contact your dealer or importer as I am told there are actually special O-rings now just for the S3 head
  14. Shell is the only recommended gas to use out west here, not sure about other areas.
  15. Billy: things are good here. Matt gets his new bike next weekend. email is the same, teamfracy@shaw.ca I tryed PM to you and it says you cannot receive anymore. Steve
  16. Just been browsing through some of the very touching pictorial tributes on Youtube tonight. Makes me even sadder, watching the video of him and hits home how young he was when he left us! I guess for those of us who grew up riding in HIS era, we will forever remember him. Steve
  17. I am shocked and saddened! I first saw Diego in Watkins Glen at the world round, practising with the rest of us squids from North America. He was riding a Fantic 240, while the rest of the Fantic team were all on new 300's. I will never forget his riding style. Years later at the World Round/TDN in Watkins Glen again, watching as he was the only rider to clean a big climb on that massive Fantic K-Roo. My thoughts go out to his family!
  18. Just a quick note as the 2012 Trials Season is set to get underway tommorrow in Victoria BC. This will be Matt's very first full season riding the top class here, and hopes to be a regular on the podium before years end. At only 15yrs old, he is the youngest to ride Expert in these parts since Ryon Bell. Arguably one of the best rider's ever produced in Canada! Results to follow!
  19. Have to PM Mairi and get it clarified
  20. Andat: Can you tell me how you old you need to be to ride a full size bike in the SSDT? My son is 15 now, and I want to have another go at the SSDT with him when he is old enough. He rides a 300 Evo and I dont want to subject him to the Scottish on a 125 now. Steve
  21. Back in the day, they used to sponsor Scott Head and made him custom/specific shocks for his Betas in the 80s. I tried emailing them a couple yrs ago to see if they could still make them, but never heard back. Steve
  22. Ah......then perhaps you should check under the kilt laddie!
