    175 F

Thanks for that Austini@!!! I test rode he little 125 that Ishy had a couple years ago and thought that if Scorpa could somehow get the price lower, it would surely enable a whole new group of newcomers to enter the sport. I am going to try an get a ride on a 175 soon. If it has enough poop as you say, it would be a fun bike for sure! Thanks for all your tips. Keep you posted Steve

    Beta 4-stroke

I would only counter with Atom that if you check the history of Beta as a company over the years, it would not seem the case with them. 4yrs of development without the general public knowing is a good indicator!

    Repsol's

weight has not really been an issue at all for me, but the power for sure. I have spent the most time on a Mont, and for me there is no way I could feel comfortable in expert sections on it, especially big steps or hillclimbs. I have spent limited time on the Sherco, but I fell it is better in the power department for sure. Just curiosity though. No one where I live has really got anything other than the Monts, and no one has really tricked them out at all. I guess my biggest beef is, the price. I would like to try one, but I can't justify spending more money on a bike that still doesn't work as good as a two stroke. Cheers, Steve PS Your Repsol does look very nice indeed

    Repsol's

Sirhc: Thanks for the candid response! I am not a fan of the five speeds at all. That said, can't wait to try a Beta4T, even though it has one too. Is the Mont you have noisy??? I love the idea of a 4T because I really think it will suit my riding style, but haven't ridden one YET, that I like as much as any 2stroke. Cheers, Steve

    1983

Andy, glad you found the year Bernie won, as I knew that he did, just couldn't remember what year! Just for the record, he said he never really enjoyed it because of the weather, not the trial itself. I believe he rode because the SWM factory like most other's in that day, made it compulsory for there rider's to compete in it! I still see that the factories use it for a testing ground to see if there new models will hold up!
  12. Glenn: this DVD should come with a warning, wear a kidney belt to prevent cramping and internal injury from excessive laughter!
  13. Folks, this DVD is a classic, and a must have as it is a small piece of trials history!! A real collectors item, I will be sending off my money to Clive as it has been years since I have seen this movie! Oh, and I am sworn to secrecy about the true identity's of the ah, um, stuntmen, yah that's what they are! Thanks Clive for making this available again! Cheers, Steve

    Beta 4-stroke

Can anyone tell me if Beta has broken the normal practise with the other 4T's and stayed with the 6 speed transmission???
  15. Lee: If that indoor tank will fit a 96 Section, I would be interested in buying it! Steve
  16. Right then Bo Drinker, you inspired me to post finally after reading all these techy guys! I'm a journeyman carpenter(joiner in the UK). good timing it seems too, as there is a major shortage of skilled labour in this country right now and tradesman can almost name there own price. I served my apprenticeship and worked for the same company for 15 yrs in Vancouver building high end custom homes($1million- 20million mansions) I moved back to my home of Vancouver Island. I am now in my 5th yr of being self employed with my own company. I specialize in the finishing aspects of the building trade. Mostly stairs, custom handrail systems, mantels and all interior finishing. In the middle of a building boom where I live, business is good Steve
  17. Ron; Thanks for your efforts and everyone at the NATC for supporting it too! It was something that needed to be there! Steve
  18. Heath: I know Outlaw dave has been trying to get a hold of these guys for a while with not success. Do you have a contact he can use. I can get it through him then. What does the POA mean listed by the 300 muffler? Steve
  19. What is the exhaust on that bike? Wanting to put a different muffler on my 300 mostly for weight. Any suggestions? Will a WES for a 240 work? Steve
  20. That is one beautiful 240 fantic Do youhave others?
  21. Martin: You are right. I plan on entering one of our club trials on my new 300 in the class just below expert. I rode round last weekend after my son had finished and had a go at the sections to see if it was going to be possible. Only rode the first 5 out of 10 sections, but cleaned them all. I was very motivated after that. I usually ride expert, and mostly I think everyone will laugh at me. It really is just to prove two things. The old bikes were pretty good and you could do alot of stuff with them. Secondly, you don't always have to have the latest greatest lightweight trick machine to have fun, and ride some fairly difficult stuff! Steve
  22. Can't believe you've never heard that one mate! You know, "Bob's your uncle"...."Fanny's your Aunt".... Cheers, Steve
  23. Worst kept secret in US trials this year!
