  1. OK muppet, I will toss in a 3'rd party objective opinion into the mix if you cannot make up your mind. I will tell you what I think, which may well differ from some. Gassers in that range seem fine, if you can still accustom yourself to their personal quirks, namely the kick lever and shifter throw and the rattling motors. I cannot. But a nice 250 works well for a clubman that can adjust, it seems. The Revs work well and are solid, most all issues can be sorted, seems still occasional stator, pump casing problems, but solid and reliable steed, and a 250 is perfectly gentile for a clubman, with the 270 being good but strong! Works well with the wheels on the ground! And in the mud, as weight not an issue! The Evo's seem hot ****e, I like the bike as it seems much closer to my Sherco in overall feel, with the exception of the steering lock range, which just seemed excessive to me. As I seem to find some virtue in the stops, it seems scarey at first! They may indeed turn tighter than a Scorpa(the fav)! The Evo 290 has too much for me, as it is a brute torque machine, although still smooth through the range and very rideable by a well versed person.. No idea about the new thin tube gassers? Ta, You really need to pick your own poison,
  2. Hell No! You might break the thing! Not that I neccessarily could! Most them top kids are just brutal on a shocker! And thusly carry a spare, reguardless of make!

    Milky Oil?

Do you have coolant loss, or potential water entry? Allthat has to come from somewhere you know? And even with a new case? Well you know what they say, new does not guarantee good! Sounds like some close inspection is due, what it the history?
  4. Yea, what he said! Which is basically what I said! He used a big word or two as well! What do I know, I am nothing better than an amature gynocologist!
  5. I never had a problem with BLUE, it matches the bruises and such!
  6. Sounds snappy! His may be tweaked a bit! By Paxau?
  7. The more I think about this, there might be some validity on both sides here! No doubt the missle delivery system failed! By intent! Seems to me the frequencies used would be the primary differense. Whether using laser, or microwave(or something between) and whether the corona was a direct reflective display or the result of the atmospheric (moisture) warming due to molecular agitation would be the question. It seems obvious this is a low atmospheric ground based localized event and not neccessarily the type offered by the HAARP style wide grid based emissions. Next! MC
  8. Have you f%^& yourself here? Sounds like a weatherman explaining the last days errors! And you may have well ruined the rest of 2k8's life in the process! I am going with Jamie on this! You weathermen are a bit loofed at times! Good job Jamie! Screw him!
  9. Good job Dave! As usual! The older you get ,the better this PC thing looks! Even Ron Lee can still type between broken body parts!
  10. Kind of like you cross dressing is it? Uncomfortable duct-taping it backwards?
  11. Works Performance actually lists a shock for the older bikes that is more cost effective. I have no Idea just how well they work, as feedback has been poor to nil! I think they have a heavy spring option as well, yet I have no idea if it would fit your shock body, as the spring diameters and lengths may vary, as they do with the newer shocks. Seems the older shocks were not adjustable, probably undersprung and overdamped for trick riders!
  12. When did you switch back to the Gasser?
  13. Thought I would take an oppertunity to post up one of the club flyers, just for your interist. Probably different to yours! HERE Yes, the morning riders may be called to observe for the afternoon, and vice-versa! Can make a good long day! However, we do not have to rely upon outside observers!

    Sherco Sherpa T

Icannot recall ever seeing it! Looks cool! I want one!
  15. There is a great little poster pic of Matt, that Steve done up! Hopefully he can size it to fit on the forum. What I hear, the kid has all the girls around him too! Good thing he can ride out the back door and loose all the distraction!
  16. Might try Lewisport, Adrian may know of a supplier. Kind of recall someone over here having some springs made for the Beta or something. Might be worth posting the question on the Beta threads as well, of spring suppliers that is.
  17. No way you could leave it in 4th on a near standstill turn and then accellerate. 3'rd will work, with a bit of encouragement, but still difficult to go right into the logs and such.
  18. You forgot about the cows urine making it's way into the water table! I do so hate those plastic bags in a way! The friggin things even wind up in the trees, blown down the street ! There is a Walmart near where I work with a 20 or so acre field next to it. The field looks like a cotton field covered in old bags that have blown off the lot during the winter! Pitiful! They ought to have to go clean it!
  19. I cannot believe those running Firefox donot still have IE as an alternate.
  20. Unfortunatly, sorting this stuff can be a bit iffy. I do not think you mentioned the year of the bike, as the ignitions do vary, however the basics are similar. Clean and inspect the earthe on the cdi or coil. Ck plug lead and cap. Disconnect kill button or switch. From here it helps to have a mates bike to switch parts such as cdi and or coils. Then comes the pulling of the flywheel for inspection of the keyway! Yes, is it rare, but it does happen. And if all is well there, you are pretty much down to the stator plate.
  21. Welcome! You are already making a few MI guys jealous!
  22. No wear spec that I know of, things are self adjusting in a pure sense via the hydroulics. Other symptoms seem to dictate replacement, such as drag and warpage along with the steels. Simple disc wear has never been an issue as I recall.
