  1. Obviously, we have created a high water mark here in my ability to compose a full page presentation in a comprehendable fashion! I am not a friggin English Major! I AM A gODDAM mECHANIC! I have the intellectual agility of a friggin SNAIL! For ME to type a full page with this OEN goddam finger is a real pain in the ass! It gave me pains today because of you lot! You lot of innappreacitive *******s! Go Get Screwed! OK, I have corrected some typos! F--Off! For ME to do a page is in itself the equallivent of Andy managing to get off his ass and change is own oil in the car! I want the goddam video of the fat ******* trying it!! Poofster! Anyway,
  2. Now someone please tell me why I must press One for English!
  3. Good to hear from you, was wondering if you were still alive! Are you still the infotainment guru?
  4. Ok well I have been putting off initiating this thread for some time, but yet I do wonder if anyone has tried them and their results. After a mention some months ago about their supposid availability for the Mont, I was qurious enough to look them up on the website and read up upon all their jargon. Trust me, I have seen many such claims over the years of improved WHATEVER from sparkies! Mostly BS! In my experience, there are some things that work, and others that simply do not, and it varies by application so much that in a business sense I never vary from the factory recommendation, not an inch! As there can be many unexpected pitfalls between brands and ratings on plugs! Always go with what works! And when you vary, YOU are the test pilot! Now in a personal sense this can vary, as I can try whatever I like! And what I tend to like as my typical varience from stock is the VX non resistor plug in the Sherco (BP5EVX platinum) which has been in the bike for over two years without problem. So seems proven as compared to the standard plug, I even run a bit wider gap at .7mm for theoretical eficiency of conveying ignition to the gas, even though magneto style output is poor at best! Resistance to fouling is another important point in which the platnum plug seems to excel and give longivity! Keep some heat in the motor, let them warm properly , then clear them out a bit by revving the s&8T out of them along with a good hard run down the road is my motto! Keeps plugs and muffs clean and happy! Anyway, reading all the blog, I figured I would give the E3 a go, specially since it was less than a fiver at the parts store. Got there and looked at it! Looked like like hell! Friggin electride not even straight! Made in China! What crap! Oh well, lets take another experiment! Firstly, with the odd brige on the earth electrodes i had to beat the thing into submission to get the .6-.7mm gap I wanted as they are set up quite higher. All this was scarey enough! I was wondering if it would work at all? Still looks crap! Mis-shapen crap! Anyway, I put it in the machine and it started first kick, rode the thing aound back a bit and seemed to work. Did not seem to change things too much, yet bike did seem to be a bit "poppier" don''t know, as purely subjective. Mind you I have done other major carb changes with the OKO in recent past, so all this is a bit blurred, yet after a month or more of doing the normal routine of rocking the bike a bit to break the clutches and so, the friggin thing has started and ran perfectly on the first kick even in freezing weather and I am confuncted as to which to attribute that to? Carb or plug or combo? I cannot ever recall such luck? Take your pick, more later!
  5. Do up the carb properly, not just a blow and go, along with the fresh fuel and filters! It will need it! Glenn is the man on stuff like this! He knows!
  6. All that and a block of wood to limit her to about 1/2 throttle and you should be fine and sweet! Use the pocket knife to whittle away the block as you get better! Has anyone tried an inlet restricter plate on one? That is what NASCAR does!
  7. Actually that does work quite well, as I have used it in the past. Need to get the lengths about right and vary's with the car or truck, but lots of leverage!
  8. The Beta 250 is nice and gentile, the Sherco 320s more aggressive!
  9. I normally refrain from posting up jokes sent to me from another member, yet in this case I will! Seems most like a good Frog joke anyway! JFK'S Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the early 60's when DeGaule decided to pull out of NATO. DeGaule said he wanted all US military out of France as soon as possible. Rusk responded, "does that include those who are buried here?" DeGaule did not respond. You could have heard a pin drop. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying 'Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intended to do, bomb them?' A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: "Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?" You could have heard a pin drop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S. , English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, "Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?" Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, "Maybe it's because the Brit's, Canadians, Aussie's and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German." You could have heard a pin drop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE... Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on. "You have been to France before, monsieur?" the customs officer asked sarcastically. Mr.. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. "Then you should know enough to have your passport ready." The American said, "The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it." "Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France !" The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained, ''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single Frenchmen to show a passport to." You could have heard a pin drop..
  10. That looks like one badass bike in 1200 version! I would have thought something more like an XR 750 would have done better, yet call me stupid here! That thing looks like a MX Harley! Just nuts!
  11. I agree it is great, as Sherco seem really into the high performance stuff with these bikes on enduro and supermoto as well!
  12. I am not quite sure about all this and your relatioship with the friggin dog, yet I hope he p****s on your pink carpet! Did your wife make you put that throughout the house or was that yours?
  13. Oh, but she could sing that bloddy song again every time you were the Fokker! And look back and smile!
  14. There is some aftermarket company on ebay that specilizes in all sorts of CDI units for popular makes. Not sure if it will help, but worth a look.

    Fat Bars

Actually it does seem from most reports that the fatbars are harder to bend (or break aka renthols) than the 7/8 bars. Add the lack of crossbar for gut clearance and teeth hitting! I think Pro-Taper sell a set that is actually a shorter bar yet with the riser adapters works out to be about the same height. Although many like Zippy still use the crossbar as a guage, I have adapted due to year model. Makes little diffrence for average rider really. I should probably add here that even with the crossbar, the bars really need to be rotated forward enough to allow you some room on the bike. One simple trick to positioning is to be able to insert a long allen wrench behind the crossbar and into the front clamp bolt. That pust the bars verticle of just past.
  16. Uh, thanks for the reminder to un-plug the compressor! Oh, btw, if you need a bead breaker in a pinch, you can put a board under the bottom of the rim and use a small whatever you call it duckbill shovel! Works a treat!
  17. A 250 is much easier to ride!
  18. M'mm! Could have sworn I see a fatbar in 6" rise somewhere even, although I could not find it. Must have been on one of them French websites or something! Top clamp(and bottom) on a Sherco has about 2 degrees rake built into the clamps, so do not know if they will interX. Vince at V-mar is the only person I can think ov that would possibly know.
  19. I seen some fatbars in taller heights. Let me see? Take a lookHERE and see if you can make sense of the height specs.
  20. Are you two really that close? Sounds as though you need to give him some proper lessons! As Dabster said, the tire lube is critical as well at times. I have the worlds finest! At least that is what it says on the jug, and I do believe it may be correct! This stuff is better than sex lube! Used with a beader, it is childsplay really! Makes life a lot easier when I have to do it over because the goddam rimtape! Or valvestem! Still if these things are not perfect you are screwed! I'm ordering one of them rimtapes with intergrated valvestem to use next time around! Screw them things! Tell you now youare better off throwing the little spacer thing away! POS!
  21. And exactly why do you need a new tire to do that?
