Octobertest
I should have figured who set that one! Yea I seen the line, ugly is still ugly! I never seen Stoodly taking any practice rides! On a good day I could clean it, was not the day for me, too much work! Rip- rap took its toal on me on Saturday, just brutal if you ride the length of it in the rough!

Another thing is the fact that it depends upon the results you want, I can shoot from a good distance with a wide lens set in high res. Cropping the shot can still give excellent res on a computer screen if the focus is good. Too much zoom really cuts your available light, even in the 18-55.

Acid Dipping
You see there is a lot of science behind this subject depending upon exactly what components you are stripping and what you are trying to achieve, acid or alk, cold or hot tank, ali or steel, rust or paint. Glass bead or sand? Hydrogen embrittlement? Not one standard answer in my works and knowledge. Things to keep in mind.

That is a nice shot of Donna's Sherco there Slapshot! I tend to agree with you on the settings, it works well, and I have seen a few others of his shots!

One Big Meet Week
The mind reels at suggestions to alternatives, the pure costs to both riders and clubs are very high just to present and ride a National! Back to basics is the theme, as there are still many clubs that do their premier event each year. The Octobertest is a prime example. Yes, everyone gets to ride, enjoy the event, do their thing! There are sections set for all and a few extra for the pros as exhibition for all to see! Why cannot a series of these be set, they are done anyway? All the support classes in a national are ride nothing better than our local experts at best, as the lines need to be rideable for all ages. The premier events are out there, Take your pick, Ok maybe only the pros are going to run 12 of 15, the rest maybe 9 or 10. We could wear Ishy out on any of the Texas State Series Master lines alone I think, chances are he would back down a class or two!

I am not sure I even want to know what you are dipping!

I did not see the STICKER on this one, but supposed to be about 30K US, which translates into what in the UK? The V6 version will be in the low 20's, at a mere 250-275 or so HP! Not bad! Nice daily driver!

Sintered Brake Pads
Just, most of the UK companys do not ship to the US even if I could find them on ebay. I cannot recall if the Mont uses the same AJP caliper and pad as the Sherco or not? I think it does? I'll gladly cover the costs, post is not too much on light things, and I think you have the paypal, makes it easy. Let me know if you can confirm they are the same AJP workings, and I will give a go! Bike Not Revving Out !
Not sure if your bike is running the Dellorto, but seems most like the mix screw out another turn or so from that setting, all depends on your pilot jet number you see. And must be tuned and set to suit! Although you really do need a bit of heat in the motor to find just how she runs, a tad lean off cold can produce a very smooth runner when up to normal operating temps it seems. My Sherco is no different running a #36 pilot jet. It will fall on it's face off cold.

One Big Meet Week
I really like that idea Ish, I figure that after about the first three days of getting their butts kicked, the support classes would not mind riding a split schedule at all, AM and PM, because the rest of the club cannot take a week off just to stand in the sections and score, they can score themselves, like we do in the centrals ! None of that 3 hrs on the first loop crap either, you need to be done with it in that time, quit screwing about and ride the bloody thing. And you really do not need to go to TN, TX is much more centrally located, nothing spectacular, just sand, and rocks, suck when wet, and suck when dry, just sand and rocks!

Sintered Brake Pads
I may be with you, noise problem alone on the Sherco may do it! Funny thing is the discs are from Braking! You would think the linings would work fine, where did you get them? As a sidenote, seems Sherco has changed discs on the '09, may be same as gassers, not sure?

What Your View On Doug?
In the current environment, this simple quote could be the decider for the entire series! Circus? You see, it costs a lot to put one on, way too much! If the promotors cannot come out, it will be done for!

Hello? Never mind as I finally found it, must not have much space on this UK website! The first of the standard R/T 5.7 Hemi powered Challengers, NOT the racing SRT 6.1, this is your next family car IAN! It is just simply COOL! This guy just had to have the cool air intake installed! Looks good, but? Fully posh performer and retro! Next thing you know we'll see a retro MG or Triumph! Made in China! Or India! Will not run like this! Does not need a turbo!

Conversion To 125 C.c.
Not dooable, as the crankshaft is different throw and the cases are different too I am sure! Yet it can be done! Find someone with a 125 that wants a big bike and swap the motors!

Practice Courses?
Huuummmmm! I kind of like that idea of a retaining wall of tires! You see, I need a retainer on my back slope, get all the old tires I want! Need dirt! Would I need to level it first, or will it do it's own levelling? As the tires set in?

Sintered Brake Pads
My impression is that discs are discs, unless you are talkind stainless, which requires a softer lining material to survive. Yet the sintered material may work well? Powdered iron on steel? May wear some disc? Price of performance in some cases, you never know!

Trying to post a piccie for you and failed, says "attachment space used 91.6mb of 19.53mb? I cannot even find where to delete old pics?
