I did not notice a gearing change on the Caby bikes, I run the stockers at 10-42 which gives a 4.2:1 ratio. A 11-44 combo would give a bit taller 3rd gear for really big stuff at 4.0:1 ratio but make the jump to 4th even greater. I did run a 10-44 on the '05 bike which made gear 4 and 5 much better on the loop, but the '06 and particularly '07 bike does not seem to need any help making the transition.
