    Or #665? Yea, thats it!
  2. Problem with the Kiehin is that it only has one vent open from the factory(for the bowl) and it is located on the muff side with little room for a hose of any sort. The blanked nipple on the left side needs to be drilled out in order to provide dual vents as the dellorto has. You never want the tubes to be able to hold fuel as this may cause the inability to equalize the atmospheric pressure and associated running problems, and that is why the factory did away with them. If one really wanted to do up a Kiehin, he would need to machine it to accept dual downward angled pipes similar to the dellorto!

    Running Problems

Bikespace, your method will work if you are careful! You can also use a commercial high output electric heat gun to set it off! Once the flame starts, switch to air only to feed the flame! If it has too much fuel and deposits in there, it will overheat and melt down! Some ice on the oulet and body may help!

    Sooner Cup

We should have a boat-load of the pros show up! Most are confirmed, not sure about Tucker, Haaker or the other kid that made Oktobertest, yet to be seen if Geoff will show, but ? Would not surprize me if Avahla showed!
  7. The "shortie" levers actually have a longer distance from the pivot to the sweet spot on the lever than the medium or long levers, creating a slower reaction and easy pull! On the medium or long levers, you can vary your finger positioning more for different results!
  8. You must have continuity between coil(red) and frame(earth) with red disconnected from box! 1.5 ohm is the spec in the diagram. Be suer the coil is mounted to clean metal with the bolts!
  9. After yesterday I am not sure which is worse! When it is 20f and dry, the sand still moves , and I can't!

with current budget constraints, we may have to settle for turning thr B-25 into a Beech 18! And if fuel costs keep increasing, the B25 elevators will make a nice set of wings for a 100hp flier as they are 10ft long each! Recall "Flight of the Pheonix" or whatever it was? I should apologise to Tony for making pun!
  11. LOOK at THAT! (jealous again) Adrian has them red rims to match, just trying to help you out there old buddy!
  12. Tricks for the mud! Duct Tape! Dellorto! Slow timing a bit! Boyesens! Lower the fork tubes in the clamps!(raise the front) RYP's 1/2 back pegs! = TRACTION!= Different Bike!
  13. "The light weight and dealer network of a GasGas" ---- Where! You have the nations largest Gasser dealer in your back yard! And chances are you could'nt find a mudguard ! And you will never ride like anyone if you do not go to school!

The first UFO over Tokyo! Nothing like the smell of avgas in the morning!
  15. There may be a difference, firstly in the plates thickness, which contributes to ultimate load factor, but it is mostly the pins and rollers that suffer the most wear, and thicker plates will not prevent a poorly lubed chain from wearing! Just as a well lubed chain will not prevent an overstressed chain from breaking! I think the IRIS must have had a bad batch of heat treatment on the plates or pins if I am correct1 This has probably been corrected by now, but I am a bit surprised not to see a formal statement from them, as many have reported much grief and some damage from this issue! I wonder what would happen if someone actually called them?

    Trp Pro Rear Shock

Seems they like about a click or two out from all in! Opposite the forks, I run them all out!
  17. As you have discovered, the bronze is highly stressed in that application, specially when undernourished! Works fine on the brake pedal though! There are some other bearing materials that may be considered for that application, but if you just maintain the stockers they are generally fine if you stay away from the pressure washer with them.
  18. I think you need to take the Kiehin off, put a stock dellorto on it, run 2 short vent tubes about 50mm long to let stuff accumulate there rather than at the carby inlet yet still protect from water entry, and you would not need to clean the carby as often, it would be gentler to ride and you would be a happy fellow with fewre problems in your life!
  19. I have not had a 4T apart, but in keeping with typical 4T logic there should be a mark on the cam gear to take note of as the crank flywheel is at TDC. Pull the bottom cover to ck for timing marks on the flywheel. You may have to rotate 360 degrees depending upon which stroke the motor is on, as there is a 2/1 relationship between cam and crank gears! The chain could have marked links which will probably line up with the cam after a few revs. Just note the relationship going in, and put things back the same! NO varience!
  20. Lets just say, it would be sorta like Jon dating a 18 year old! Ha!

Well, ok ! Maybe he's not totally nuts! Did you spot the UFO's in the hangar? Yea, I think those are original bedsheets from the '70's hanging up there to cover the parts racks ! I'll never show the garage!
