In the car business, more money is made on used cars than new ones! If a dealer makes 5 percent on average he is lucky on new cars. Noone pays MSRP! You could probably at least double that profit on good used cars!
Look at CARMAX, yes they are a Dealer , of what? They do not even sell new!!!!!!
-
How would you know all them secrets tought at Ryan's school, you chickened out! I did some HUGE splatters! Must have been, well maybe even 3-4 ft high, I'll have to show you once I have fully recovered!
-
Any guesses? Still winter, it varies!
And yes RYPat, I think you can stay if you can take all they dish out! It is all good! Should be fun, can you drive a tractor? Yet?

I am certainly glad that someone appreciates things like that. It is not a bad thing! Who you are, what you are and what you do! We are somewhat lucky on this forum to have as much participation as we do from many knowledgable folk with many years of experience and I hate to discourage that as many of these contacts are vital in our small community. Maybe that is even another thing to look at as far as supporting the site, where only supporters can do that, not having to be a major headline advertiser, I do not know, but as with everything else tying into this thread, it can make a difference that we need to support and not neccessarily suppress.
So Ishytrembling****es can get you a bike in your area, set it up for you, fit accessories, That is good to know if you are a newbie! Good to know if you are a experienced rider not mechanically inclined! The local guys make a difference! You think individual dealers are getting rich? Doubt it, but it may help the sport. And if in fact I am knowledgable enough to handle my own bike setup and just want or even prefer that the box be dropped at my door, therin lies the difference.
No, under the current circumstances I cannot see anyone stocking bikes just to see if one sells, taking one as a demo bike and riding it is another deal and a dealers option. AND you may loose money doing it! But the bottom line is that the new bikes just cost too much, the depreciation too much and the market too small for your average 250cc lightweight trials bike to cost as much as a 650cc Japanese high tech roadburner it seems, just for something to throw at the rocks and mud! Therin lies a big problem.
But if you loose the grassroots support from Ishytrembling****es, who will take his place at your local events? Cal your regional guy on Monday to see!
M2C!

Oh it works great Brian, maybe saves a mile or two per gallon, but no retrofit! I heard that other manufactures are starting to use that system as well, but not sure?
-
You can stay as long as you like, but it gets real expensive as you have to pay $5 per day!
-
I have no idea wot changes have been made to the stocker over the years, but I know that many of the locals increased the rear gear by 2-3 teeth for reasons mentioned and keeping them in the "happy" range!

Call Mototrialsport Tom at 972-754-9686 for the new '06
-
Now THAT sounds like a Smagical adventure, I pity that poor little 1.25!
-
Funny thing that story brings back a distinct memory of my '03 bike! There was a local practice area I went to before they closed it, had a nice little rocky creek crossing on the trail that had a good double step about 4ft high that I had crossed probably 100 times prior. But returning ond day after a good workout in the back sections the normal little blip up the steps left me sitting on my backside on the top before I knew what happened! Gave me a new respect for that bike!

Although my perception is muchly degraded over time, I seem to recall the older 2.5's to be some of the smoothest and best around. Specially the '00 model i think it was.
Having done much the same things to the '03 2.9 and still finding it a handfull at times, I would be realy inclined to put that old 2.5 top on her as you may be surprised just how good it really is for the normal rider! Nobody will ever know!
-
Somewhat surprized to see you on the Scorpa! Bike seems BIG, but rides like a Cadallac it seems!
-
Wot if I gave you $100 then?
She replies: "Just the panties and bra !!!!!!!!
-
It will still cost a fortune to get the RV set up. If you get it for $300 per day you will be lucky, first class though! As compared to the economy motel 10 min away for about $50-60 which has LOTS of hot water, breakfast next door and buffet supper!
Big Al has fixins and recipie for the Cactus Juice, which is much more palatable than the Corn Mash brought in for tourists! Al can't even do but a shot of the mash. If he needs more Juice,I will send fixins. Of course , after a few shot of Scotch, the Mash seems much better! The Juice, you just sip till time to go, then you fall down!
-
Thats what you guys get for riding them friggin Beta's while me and Clark were sitting in the hot tub having the women slaves fetch more beer!
-
-
I know of a new '06, may be the last one?
-
Not sure what the Caby came with, but usually around 40-45 on the pilot jet I would think. Ask Addict what he was running?
Be sure the fuel tank is venting properly, there is no water condensation in it, the bowl vent is clear(side of carb) and not only clean the jet, but remove mix screw and blow through low speed passages as these must be perfectly clean!
Hope that helps!

Makes the damn thing lean to the side all the oil is on!
-
BE CAREFUL! If you put too much oil in your air filter it will richen your mixture!
-
The fishnet stockings may suggest the "lunch" came way too early for me!
-
All I can say is that the old style Paioli forks were used by Beta and Sherco as well as I recall. You should be able to find equal parts between them to fix it!
-
Did you know that there are Martians living on the moon and watching your every move? They have telescopes, too!
-
There are driveshaft specialty shops around!
-
You guys can argue about this all day long, but the fact is that if you keep adding oil to fuel, eventually all you have is oil and no fuel, which leans the resulting fuel/ air ratio, richens the fuel/ oil ratio and things basically do not work!
It has been proven that fuel/oil ratios of 80:1 using high quality modern synthetic or simi- synthetic oils are very safe in modern water cooled 2-strokes, even at the highest levels ov competition. For your average punter, ratios of 90 or 100:1 have been regularly used with no problems.
Less oil, less smoke, less loading up and fouling of plugs and such, bend over and extract head from butt!
