  1. Think you've already seen the pics of my Seeley Mark, but here's a couple of pics of the exhaust. No baffles or pipe in it, initially thought there may not be enough back-pressure but runs superbly, no problems at all.
  2. Mark, tried to reply to your Email, but your address is not recognised (MAILBOX NOT FOUND)......... Anyway, to answer your question: The carb on my bike is a Keihin PC 04 BRK..........Pilot Jet - 38. Main Jet - 105. Needle - 8234, clip in the middle position. Air screw out 2 and three-quarter turns. With regards finding one, I have absolutely no idea!! You could try Keihin Europe Ltd.(Craven House, 40 Uxbridge Road, London W5, 2BS, U.K. Tel : +44 (0)20 8810 1266 FAX : +44 (0)20 8810 1277) A lot of engine parts are readily available due to being based on XL185, though Piston & rings can be got from Wiseco UK (Vic Eastwood), Gaskets Galore made me head gaskets, though they need an original to work from. Hope this helps, anything else I can do, let me know. Stuart.

Yep, took 'em all out so you'd hear me coming in Scotland!! Will be some weapon over there, out at the weekend in the greasiest rivers with various waterfalls......just flattens them all no problem!!! Sits and bites at the top instead of just spinning up.......

I have them all out........ran for 2 days with the spark arrestor at end of silencer & since removed it. No problems at all. Superb. Did run a 42 tooth rear sprocket on rear wheel at weekend & considerably better, waiting for a 43T to come in.

Thirty Tank on TopFun.com...........go into "Beta" then near the bottom on RHS.......
  11. Doubt that........ Mr. Paxau is hardly going to allow his "PXC" branding on a very standard Sherco....... Even if its the 2004 motor, it isn't standard!! I'm sure somebody will comment on Raga's being a Raga??

Kinell, goto http://www.quaifeamerica.com/ and then go to downloads & then QSpeedCalc (643KB)....... It's great, even by guessing the revs, you can see speeds for all gears, and then by playing with the sprocket sizes see the differences. You need rolling diametre of tyre (2180mm I think, must re-check!!), but also all the gear ratios...... We use it quite a bit for the race-cars, very handy to have.
  13. stuhrc replied to stuhrc's topic in Montesa
Curious, have a program from Quaife gearboxes that when you enter in all the gear ratios (which are in the manual), sprocket sizes, plus the rpm it gives you an accurate speed for all gears. Just looking to see what it will do flat in fifth on the road in Scotland if I'm running late........

The way I see it Rowly is I may as well have a good tyre for each day, I make sure to budget for it & then the tyres do me for the rest of the season (except maybe for the Scott and Inter centre). 120 miles can take its toll on a tyre, and I personally prefer to have a fresh one for the next 100 miles.....Peace of mind I suppose.

The scottish for me works out at quite a lot!!! Ferries from Ireland, spares, 3 rear tyres, 1 front, wet weather gear (a must!!!), plus I do the Pre-65.....so I have 10 nights accomodation!! Then the usual, food & (lots of) drink..... All in all though, won't be missing it for a long time hopefully!!! A proper holiday, none of this sitting on a beach sh*t!!! Entry for the 6-days is
  19. used an orbital sander with a very fine sand paper on the original (rare) mudplugger rear mudguard on my Seeley......worked a treat, was a horrible yellow colour, got a good smooth finish on it & then plenty of polish to buff it up.

See this??? From www.motogp.com "The 250cc World Championship is set to welcome a new manufacturer in 2005, after the announcement that Italian trial and motocross firm Fantic Motor are set to enter their own road racer. The project will be overseen by experienced engineer Franco Moro, with 17 year old Italian rookie Gabriele Ferro confirmed as one of the riders and discussions underway with former 125cc World Champion Arnaud Vincent for the second seat. Moro, who has worked for Aprilia since 1992 with riders including Max Biaggi, Tetsuya Harada, Loris Capirossi and, most recently, Alex De Angelis, revealed that Fantic are planning to enter the 250cc series with two twin cylinder bikes constructed at the engineering department of CRP Technology.

Cheers guys, fitted the b*stard last night. Haven't got my hands on jets yet, running standard 45/125 jets, JJH needle, clip in the middle position. Air screw half a turn out and its near right, any further out and it just bogs down when you whack the throttle open from tickover. Try and get more jets today.
