  1. Maybe not... is difficult for a computer rendering to collect mud... its not the mud collection that interests me I want to know how much wonga those behind this will be collecting in from grant subsidy and buildings
  2. Another way of milking money out of the government/ EU I'd bet. No room for more bikes/bike manufacturers.... Somebody will be doing nicely thank you!
  3. Never heard of that magazine. .. oh are you on about the cable
  4. Wow!! Mick is getting some replicas made? The diiiirrrrty old bu99er! No wonder they call him Magical... Oh are you on about the petrol tank?
  5. I'm sure I've got photos of Subira on a 200 with the 'new 240' motor in it from SSDT (1980 or '81??) somewhere! Interesting about the 300 brake plate it has a floating pivot so it aligns better.. Others used a similar design without the 'torque arm extension' on the brake casting (Beta and perhap Armstrong) More interesting is the factory 300 bikes also used the lighter normal brake plates too! Hang on this is not about Fantics is it... Ah well sorry back to Majesty talk then.. Erm.... might as well just have a normal TY as they are as good... etc.
  6. No the misc jazz mags are still at your house... remember that you borrowed them for some ahem 'research' No clutch cable... just throttle cable and front brake hose (and a TYZ rear brake hose)plus some other misc ! Shedco had all the good stuff
  7. 18+ Quid... eeeek I think I've got some new original yam cables... I'll check my 'misc' box.
  8. Looks like a kids bike... is it a mini Maj? .. well maybe not.. At least it's not skip worthy. Fantic 200's are a STACK better to ride. and I mean the 'real 200' (Minarelli engined one).... oh apart from the brakes.... Strangely the last few Fantics advertised seem to be in originalish colours which is nice to see!

    New Ossa!

Brill... just like all the others A radical bike at a hefty price and they still want to entice the nutters to accessorize... can fault them (OSSA) though... why not pay a good few hundred quid more for some bits that just look different..... But then if you have the money to waste.. why not? They'll be queueing
  10. I had a few of these and the 270 is soft, when its done correctly they are really very tractable... superb, but not for launching up big things... but hey most people don't want to do this anyway. The main benefit of a proper Andrews (or Bikett) conversion is the shortened inlet... makes it a bit more responsive. The other thing to do to make it rev better is to but a thicker head gasket on it. Yes! not to soften it as such but we found that it made the bikes run cleaner and rev better with the slightly lower compression... honest!
  11. I'd have said go and play golf if you want to behave like scum... Re: Bob Carolgees and Spit! Kick the rider out of the event ...nay out of the ACU ... Riders are easier to get than officials who sit out in all weathers... very few of the officials want to be 'gods' ... those that do need to be humoured!
  12. Try it shorter... they are light enough anyway!

    Nice SWM on t'bay

Ugh Marzocchi forks yuk. It might be dear, but compared to the absolute junk bikes fetching 600 plus then maybe it's not...
  14. No!!!!!!! 'tis the work of the Devil! BURN IT !!!

    Ty350

Nice stuff! I had my footrests modded like that on my Monos... were easier on the boots and feet! That casing protector may not be as good as it could be (it looks nice though)... the better ones also used the mount on the 'top roller' otherwise a 'big chain off' just moves the whole of the protector and casing lugs off the engine. Also not sure if you slam a few rocks over there in Tulsa, but I didn't notice you had modded the front bash plate mounting... we used to fit a second bolt in the front mounting (and better to make them with a dowel type fitting so they are a tight fit too) to stop it rocking .. this rocking used to result in cracked flywheel casings!
  16. I don't recall these these being any use anyway apart from when they were converted to 'lunatic trikes' http://www.cybermotorcycle.com/gallery/classics_a/images/Beamish_RL325_outfit.jpg

    2011 TTT Beta!

    Standard bike looks better!
  18. Tricky... surely you know the real reason! Most of the trials riders who don't pick the board up to observe are thicko's... Think yourself blessed that you can observe and the others dont ... just think what scores would be written down!!! "twelveteen" "4" "wibble" or "X" etc.
  19. RE: May be of interest to someone here..... http://cgi.ebay.co.u...5f#ht_500wt_949 They will need something to transport it too! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8-YD-Roll-Roll-off-Skips-Cable-type-Skip-Lorry-/160541683287?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item256107ae57
  20. Jack Burnicle can at least talk .... To be honest he makes the whole drawn out event bearable. Lets face it if you are a fan you don't need commentary as you know whats happening. Burnicle was even better when he used to comment on the dolly birds too! The main problem is the actual footage is poor. They dont get very good camera angles on most of the action... Oh and Toni Bou is just too good.

    Frame Swap?

I'd understand it if you wanted to put a nice eliptical tubed older model frame on rather than the cheaper (as in cost saving) round tube stuff they use now...

    Creeking sussies.

Check the rose joints on the shocker (top and bottom)... sometimes they squeak. Otherwise with the linkage (if its like a GG) do the links nearest the back tyre (lowest hanging ones on the 'bones')everytime you ride in significant water/mud. The rest wants pulling out and greasing at least every 3 months!!
  23. Maybe there are other reasons...Certainly there is no living in it, but it could be burn out through being pushed too hard or expecting too much... Whatever reason if its because the enjoyment has gone then its time to jack it in. Lets face it plenty have gone by the wayside... its only more obvious as she was riding at a high level and there is a press release. Trials will still be there (in some guise) for any 'retiree'to come back to... as long as they have health and a bit of cash..
  24. I'd suggest the competitors who are enjoying themselves are the winners... You all ought to really encourage the gullible to spend thousands or tens of thousands on their pre-2012 bikes.... It'll give you another thing to laugh at and therefore increase your enjoyment. Maybe its best to stop the pre-2012 bike entrants by not giving out awards???.... After all I'm sure most of the pre-'12 riders are just pot hunting. OTF's basis of a class seems logical to me, but as its clear there will never be anything 'clear cut' it will be a discussion without end As for the yokes... the top one that looks like it has been dug up out of the garden looks OK! Well I'm sure it'd be useful to anchor a boat. To keep these old wrecks running there has to be some compromise... after all original bits/spares must've run out by now, so the OTF formula seems OK. Is that Thorpeys cub? ... looks like a Cub to me ... well it has a front wheel at the front and a back wheel at the back like Cubs had in the past, but that front mudguard... hmmm mono Yam tut tut
