  1. Well at least me and Mr.Casas have one thing in common then!!...unfortunately I'm not a damned good rider though! Keep going Carlos!!
  2. Hi all, Just wondered if anyone can help tell me where is the trial on this Saturday 7th May. Llangollen D.M.C.C. club championship, is all I know. Its really a post for my parents,...they might be in the area, and were thinking of going to watch the event. Cheers in advance for any help.

    Casas

Notice Carlos Casas (sp?)....is doing well in the SSDT. I'm sure he is trialero...from these forums. Currently in position 41...and beating a few very well known riders. Well done!!...and keep going ...its gonna be a good week for you!
  4. Hey Lewis....everyones gonna wonder why you suddenly got so interested in mathematics!! At least its a good reason!! This page has helped me work a few things out too!
  5. Cotakid..they've gotta plenty of THAT kind of rock in Weston
  6. So long as your still riding scorpion it dont matter!!!...I've heard of quite a few older guys stopping riding 'cause they dont like getting bruised any more.
  7. Cant add much, as its all been said..and very well too Personally on the petrol/2T mix I would go with Kinells advice. Its what it says in the book....75ml of GOOD 2T for every 5 litres of GOOD unleaded. DOnt use the crap petrol else it'll probably knock. I've used super unleaded and the same mix as above for the last 2 years and the bike still runs like new. CHange/clean the air filter as often as you can....and order some ("silent blocks") from BVM-moto.co.uk That is the rubber thingy that supports the mid exhaust to the rear subframe. They are VERY cheap to buy, but I tend to get through about 3 a year..(probably 'cause I crash alot)...but thats one of a VERY few things I've had trouble with. DONT pick the bike up by the exhaust...that will definately break the "silent block"...always just pick it up by the rear wheel. ENJOY...my '02 is still bloody loverly!!...You've chosen well!
  8. Yep...mine knocked quite a bit here too...and, again using super unleaded HELPED..but the knocking is still there a LITTLE bit. Maybe I'll try rejetting too?
  9. Glad you got it sorted....keep yer crash helmet on in the house, in case the missus starts chucking pots and pans at you
  10. No worries...its almost certainly a no-go..but I'll ask around here as well, in case there is anything.
  11. lol,,,,very good bs. I'll remember that one, next time I'm chatting to r2w
  12. Neonsurge...I guess you've already seen it..but if not, there is a top yolk, from a Beta Synt...on ebay uk. It LOOKS similar to the Rev3 one to me..but I guess its unlikely to be the same??
  13. probably just the expense of setting up and running an online shop scorpion. I guess the trials market is not big enough to justify a shop having an on-line shop. Its only one phone call??..I use BVM too..and even posting out here, they are VERY reliable and VERY fast.
  14. Unfortunately, not much happens here...and when it does its VERY informal..nothing like a comp. in the UK. Typhoon season is usuall about July and AUgust. THey're just starting to do comps in CHina I believe...some of the riders here have gone and done them...but again...very informal ones...in Hong Kong there are probably only about 8 comps. per year.
  15. Oops sorry..forgot to answer you hrc!!... no we dont get any mud and leaves...just dry stufff...and LOADS of dust. Only time it gets wet/muddy..is typhoon season, when its almost impossible to ride anyway...rest of the time its sunny and dry
  16. Thanks both...thats allways the trouble..I'm too shy...broken so many bloody plastic bits on road bikes before now, that I dont like shoving things too hard..at least plastic things..! ANyway...will have a go...I think you're saying the plastic lugs..are probably on the top and bottom of the shrowding right??.. CHeers guys STU.....PS..will you both buy me a new one if I damage it??

    Rev3

Thanks both...yep the rubber boot thing stayed put on my 02 Beta..but on this 03 one, its never stayed put...but now I know how to lift the plastic bit..(thanks landrover!) I can try to sort it out. Cheers both STU

    Beta Rev3

Me again!!...and another probably dumb question! Can anyone tell me how to remove the silver plastic radiator surround..like in the picture. I guess its easy, but dont want to break it trying. Thanks..STU

    Rev3

Hi all...this is probably a real dumb question...and if I tried hard enough, I'd probably work it out myself...BUT...with my luck I'd probably break it!!...so can anyone tell me, how do I remove the silver plastic bit in the picture..so I can clean underneath, and re-seat the black plastic/cable holder bit. THanks in advance for any help
  20. Oh Man!!!!!.........so now even the BIG events are getting cancelled...I dont believe it....seems like its all collapsing around us
  21. Thanks for posting that list kinell...which I will be taking down to the bolt shop as soon as I can. STU
  22. I have a little gizmo..bout the size of a penknife that meassures the pitch of the thread. (you might be able to buy one of these at the hardware shop??) Diamater, just meassure with your vernier (sp?) callipers.......(same with length) Its a good idea..I would rather have alan key bolts in those places than the philips screw ones..and will follow this thread to see how you get on. Sorry my Beta is not with me at the mo. so I cant go and meassure for you. HOPEFULLY someone else will. Good luck. STU
  23. Watch out...you might have to carry bikespaces wheelbarrow for him! (see the Anything GOes forum if you're confused!)
  24. I'm with you on that one cleanorbust. Of course I would always encourage a mate if he wanted to get into trials..but I'd hate to see it go TOO mainstream. I think there would be quite a few negative points to that, ... Mind you...I dont like it being TOO low-key either...for instance over here, it took me about 5 years to find out where the trials scene was!!!..its almost SECRET!...trying to make up for lost time now though!
  25. I'd just get a new one bob. You've got the best bike out there!!...so just spoil it a bit!...you'll be glad you did. I got mine from BVM too....and when you fit the new one, you'll see how it attatches to the carb slider.
