What colour are the failed plugs ? Rich will kill them .

If you do get it to work, you will discover it oils the chain, rim, tyre, mudguard and your back......

Sounds like you need a trail bike, horses for courses etc. I dug mine out recently, so much more space, better gearing, brakes and suspension, bigger tank, comfortable seat.

The only chain I have ever seen break is iris. Your choice.

Level screw is behind the gear lever as previously mentioned. Clutch adjusts behind plastic plug, take it out and you will see.

Correct, cable may be slack but mechanism still partly engaged. Atf is good, but check you have enough oil, there is a level screw in the casing behind the gear lever. From memory it's 1200ml.

50:1 semi synthetic, any petrol is fine.

There are two plastic plugs on the clutch casing, remove the rear one and check the adjusted has slack, ie clutch isn't effectively engaged. Check there is also slack at the lever. Generally the issue with these engines is the clutch won't free off. What oil is in the gearbox ?

The small spring is usually a "top out" spring. This can also be controlled by thickness and quantity of oil. "My" solution would be put in a longer spacer to compensated, and see if it works ?

What diameter are they ? Every Swm I've seen has either betor or marzzocci forks, I'm pretty sure these arnt original.

What position is the clip on the needle ?

I'd try it without the sprocket to eliminate it. Any "telltale" marks on the sprocket or case ?
