What is considered the best set up for these forks ?
At present running 220ml of TQF (approx7w)and works OK, but open to suggestions.
I weigh about 13 stones.
The fork caps have a screw at the bottom, presumably to release pressure but seized solid at present, don't remember them having this, is it a modification ?

Like the rack, I'm using a Sharan and thinking of making something similar.
Did your rack lock into the seat mountings ?

Looking again at the pictures I think I can see the answer, the rear mount pivots and is then locked with a nut and bolt ?

If you cut a SWM back box vertically and long ways, the bit nearest the wheel is a series of baffles.
The outside doesn't appear to be connected at all, whats that all about, eh ?

The writings the right way up, does that not indicate which way they should be mounted ?

In my experience the points either work or don't, thought it might be worth lubricating the pivot in case they are sticking as they get hot.
I would change the plug and condensor if you haven't already.
You going to Scottish Classic on Saturday ?

Your better building it from angle as you can paint it properly, box will rust through from the inside.

FWIW I replaced a duplex primary chain on a B40 after 20 years (no expense spared)
Compared the old one with the Renolds replacement, not a mm of a differance.
Has always been run in TQF.

Check that the breather is fitted, and take it up under the tank.
I also put a smear of silicon on the flywheel cover face, try these and you shouldn't have to clean the points every time.
