Make a new cable, or cut inner and use a solderless nipple if you can solder. Use quality silicon round the cable entry point. Also check/ silicon round the manifold as water can enter there. Check condition of oil fill plug and that the breather hose is up under the tank.

And having done all that, how do you identify a "burble" ?
-
Yes Guy, I'm tired of your silly posts to. This is life and death, your flippant comments are not required.

Any Dellorto carb I've had, the overflow tubes are separate.
The ones with an air screw were not the best.

But, it's a proper wheely.

Should have gone to Martin.

Cheers Feetupfun, just put one in a Rotax motor and it got hot quickly as you say. Has about 3 hours on it now and sounding / running really well.
-
Why specially with a Wiseco piston ?
-
Were the foot rests not moved up near top shock mounts ?

Hi Mark, has the arm also been cut and angled lower, so it's at right angles to the cable ?
-
Maybe the "start" of no-stop !

Fantic, Gori, Girelli, Swm, Aprilia all used that wheel.

Thought the punch line was "should I tell her I ride a BMW"
-
Rotax has to be one of the most successful engines. Used in Puch, Gori, SWM, Aprilia, Armstrong + others ?
-
What brake plate are you using ? If it's a Fantic 300 it has different shoes from most other grimace brake plates.

Did you try a new plug as previously suggested ?
-
It's probably the crankcase drain which goes to the carb, looks like an Aprilia motor.
-
Ok for a straight road, to much leverage for sudden manoeuvres.
