It must be different up north, 3 visits to DVLA dunstable and the last one with the bike, speedo, utility bill and goodness knows what else. It obviuosly depends on where you go as to how stringent they are.

Perhaps my view was clouded by the travelling distance (2hours plus) and the sections that were there on a particular trial. I didn't enjoy my day there at all, and have never gone back.

If nothing else there needs to be a re think of the rules as highlighted by bou and comments above, perhaps they should invite more riders (catching the Bou types) and have a run off in the afternoon for say 8 riders? 4 to join the top 3 or sonmething?

If it was bought new from a dealer he should be able to sort it for you, definately easiest way. You need some proof that the bike has paid vat, is insured, and registered as new when it was not now, if you follow, ie 05 not 55.

IMHO Rubbish, Earl Shilton (1hour ish) would be more suitable for you. Or you could do alot worse than going practising at Bracken rocks (1hr 45) or burycliffe (2 hours).

I don't want to play devils advocat but I guess the rules are there and its just a shame that this excluded bou as an auto qualifier, next year he will be for sure. However on the other hand if Raga knew that he would not be competing in every round and rode "defensively" at Sheffield is it fair to now let Bou in? I think we have been over this area before where Patrick Smage couldn't ride in Duluth nor Alexz Wigg at Hawkstone due to unbendable rules. My worry is that if sheffield wasn't full this year what will it be like in 2007 and 2008 if we have an all Spanish entry? Be careful what you wish for...........

With the clutch basket off check for up and down movement in the main gearbox shaft and the other one. End float is ok as long as its not excessive. Could be a gearbox strip down and 4 new bearings but I'm no expert.

I know the indoors is different but have we seen the end of the older generation of riders? Doug and Fuji are clearly never gonna get a WTC title indoors, but outdoors is it past them aswell? And raga most would agree the bike advantage handed him the title in 2005, but is 2006 different for outdoors? Bou to win o/s this year?

Not too sure what the tie up was/is but he had this special for a while then a psuedo clubman AKA captain crash rode it in a few " selected " events, icluding the 2004 lakes 2 day I think.

Marky and I disagree on this. My view is that the guy in the factory never uses sikaflex and no body worries aboutor changes the set up until it leaks. My concern over themethod would be if it didn't seal and needed a second go, messy? If it needed the goo then it would probably have it from new. I do like my wheels as true as possible and therefore prefer to take the tape off every so often, then refit mostly new. If you follow the directions given by Wayne Thais on the sherco usa website thats a good starting point. However IMHO its a choice thing there is no right or wrong here just personal preference.
