  1. Well he (Cota Kid) may have sunk a few on Saturday, but after Doug gave him the Podium Champagne I heard a rumour he went to bed at SEVEN! Respect to Michael Brown though good result Oliveras and Gibert are decent riders with big support.
  2. I am no expert but this is how I think it is. The 340 was developed as a progression of the 325, it had better gear ratios and a torquier motor. Alot of guys said that vesty had a 325 barrel on his but only legs will be able to give you the real story. Generally a well sorted 325 or 340 will give much the same retro performance in the sections. I run a high comp head on mine and if you like it quick you can machine a fair bit of the flywheels. Setting up a bing takes a bit of trouble but worth it.
  3. If its the same as the sherco and gas gas set up then yes. Reverse bleed from crank case with syringe same as brakes. think the rypusa website has details.
  4. Got a few vague results in:- Experts Thorpe 32 baker 46 Sam Haslam 60 Youth Alexz Wigg 41 (125) Danby 81 (125) Challoner 118 (125)
  5. If you are still undecided up in richmond over easter if you want a go on mine.
  6. If you read carefully in context it makes sense. I shall elaborate if it helps? Had 6 shercos and loved everyone 'cept the 04 masqurauding as an 05 (I think). Rode the 06 and it was no better than my 05, again excepting the forks, which are way better than 05. (not forgetting I had a special shock so that was probably better too) Didn't fancy the black frame and wheels, felt the Gas Gas pro was the closest in terms or riding position and feel fancied one but wanted more than a day or so. As I have said to variuos peolple at different times the only way to really be objective is to own the bike and fettle it and pay for it for a raesonable period of time. This is what I am doing with the Gas Gas I now have. Riding the thing apart from anything else, I have found that after six years on a Sherco the best thing about it (GG) is the gears (ratios). This gives me 4 section gears and the rev range in each seems better too. OK?
  7. Jab is faster than a forceful one.......
  8. I for one was disappointed that Sherco never did do a caby or grimbo replica, and with a conversation I had with a spaniard at a French trial he said he felt the Shercos were built to a price rather than specification, which has been addressed this year alittle, but too late for me.
  9. That is basically what you can do with a 4RT isn't it, not direct from the dealer, but at the moment it is the one bike on the market with a bundle of performance enhancing parts Sorry Dabster, did I not see you sporting a larger fuel tank on yer Gasser. Not really performace enhancing, bit closer to Bling <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2 things a) I was trying it out in an event, prototype testing if you like I didn't have any back up for fuel and thought the extra capacity was sensible?
  10. As most people know who know anything about my Sherco for the last 3 years had a custom made 5 way adjustable Reigar shock with remote reservoir. Cost me
  11. just a thought. The wiring loom is tucked behind the side of the rad is it ok there not pinched at all? My Sherco would always start first kick when warm, a forceful kick not a stabbing one like the gas gas if that makes ssense?
  12. good points perce. Minders are allowed if the club wants them I think, acu was looking into insurance implications. Its a shame these "ideas" from lots of people were not brought up at the ACU forum at Rugby .I suggest you lot get yourselves down there next year, and put forward these suggestions.
  13. If you get a really top notch 2004 it should be in your budjet. I sold a mint 05 a good few months back and that was 2200. Maintain a Sherco, they are very very easy to work on and it will be reliable. Ride both and make a decision that way and try to buy from someone who you know has looked after the bike or get a pal who knows to give it a once over before buying.
  14. Went to a 250 after 6 years on the Sherco, very pleased so far, love the gears best of all.
  15. So Jack would have won at Dob Park and Otter Vale if he had another 1/2 hour in each event?

  17. be very careful as there is 2 types on gassers one is not good with the other, guess that goes for the rubbers too.

    Sales!

clearly yes or more than one manufacturer would have a machine for sale today. Traction and the 4rt are not synonymous.
  19. http://www.trial-club.com/ Alexz has done an in depth interview with this french magazine, can't get the text translated yet but will try later.

    Sales!

Quite the opposite, IMHO. if its emissions only then if a 2t meets it why have a 4t at all?
