  1. I have the std Rev4T and love it so much. I'd sell anything to get a racing edition. It will be sharp on the throttle due to the higher spec cam. The titanium valves shouldn't be a a problem on a , generally, low revving trials bike.
  2. Tim the internet is a great place to criticise from. Sigh Good luck with growing the business and supporting Beta to sell more bikes. Your business strategy may be different but hopefully it will make Beta factory more secure in hard times... cos i will need a new bike in a couple of years

    New Ossa Video

Nice. I notice that it sits high up on it's shock.... ie it isn't all squishy and soft. Probably something to do with the very expensive TTX Ohlins rear shock.
  4. Hi Billy. Jetting so far for a 250cc..... 112.5 main, needle all the way up, float at 11.5mm, pilot at std (27.5?), mixture approx 1.5-2 turns. Plug is an Iridium NGK at 0.6mm gap. Ralphy
  5. My bike used to do that. It was fuel pinking..... I changed the fuel to 98, polished the piston, and got the jetting a little richer in the mid range and it almost went away. Almost.
  6. Use the same plug but the Iridium equivalent set to 0.6mm gap. Once fitted about a year ago I've never touched it. Brilliant. Buy one.
  7. 6 in the front and 4 in the rear. Drop 0.5-1psi if it is muddy.
  8. Cool.... it is back. Crazy Germans cut there own engine up for this!
  9. Hi here are my tips for too much oil. Take off the exhaust and rinse it through with petrol. Let the excess evaporate. Repack the muffler. Give the bike a really good hard ride up a long hill to burn off the oil. Do this lots of times!.... the bike will smoke LOTS. Run the bike on 1:70 synthetic oil and give the bike a hard run each time you ride it. When this is done fit a fresh Iridium plug as they are fantastic. Ralphy
  10. 105,000 ! Probably ok if there was no recession, but not sure now. I understand that there was only 4 or 5 into the UK so it may not be unreasonable. AND how the hell did they make oval piston rings that sealed on an oval bore!!!!! That alone is worth 105k. I'd buy an oval piston trials bike !.....
  11. just go to the local bike shop...... They probably would like your business !
  12. hi there Go to Beta website for the owners manual. There has been lots of discussion on this site in Beta forum... try a search
  13. Seriously though it is lovely. Really impressive. Does the exhaust outlet miss your leg?
  14. Your bench is messy....?
  15. Any motorcycle shop will sell them. Usually double ended and in pairs - so you get four sizes. AND..... you get what you pay for..... so if you want to round over the nipples get a $1 spanner. Top tip. Put some WD40 on the nipple-spoke the night before!
  16. For sale TY gas cap $95....... ........ sorry couldn't resist it. I'd try one of the bike wreckers for a yamaha plastic tank off any bike. Also try Sammy Millar
  17. Nope. I disagree. Following your bars with your shoulders will only cause your butt (and a butt is a heavy item ) to swing out and cause an off balance. Just my view. Ralphy
  18. I can't remember the exact details sorry..... but search the Beta forum there was something in there a year ago
  19. Your stupid english rules. There i said it. Rules for this and rules for that. If you've got an old bike then you should be able to ride it. If you were any good at riding you would win on a twin-shock, over the modified bike any way. Felling better now. Bring on the moaning
  20. Yeah risers will do the same thing at less cost. Try 20-25mm extra would be my advise. I have 20mm higher bars on the beta and it is great...... I'm the same height as you. Ralphy
  21. Get the high bars. Being tall you will need them. I am and I did...... and my fit on the bike is so much better than with std bars.
  22. my pick is that the beta switch/kill button is faulty. They are notorious for this. Infact there was a 3-4 page thing about this under the beta forum do a search....
  23. Without a doubt the forks will need new oil and the rear shock will need a rebuild. Figure that into your costs. Oh yeah and it is........... old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old old .... so you'll know what you are getting into.
  24. Ahhhh the ssdt scrutinising team. Used to be known as frustrated wanabe policemen.... but were infact perfectly reasonable chaps. We had a scare in '89 over FIM noise levels. I had the official Fantic but-plug fitted in the tail pipe to quieten the bike and their comment was.... wait for it.... oh that passed easily! .......Or in other words, everyone else passed and we didn't have to move the noise meter so far away on yours to get a pass. I was the only one with the exhaust part fitted. Sigh. The guys did pick me up on something minor so i walked around the ParkF and brought the bit needed. Fitted it and done. They won't check your speedo works. Anyway how could they!
