would the gas gas factory have what looks to be a classic car on a ramp in the background?
  7. well i'm going along with my three kids and am looking forward to it, even with a 450 mile drive, this is only our second wtc event, carlisle last year being the first so i'm no expert but i am a bit peed off with people i know saying they're not going because it will be crap, if you go somewhere thinking it's going to be crap, it probably will be because you have already made you're mind up, on a slight tangent i don't see people on here saying the ssdt should be moved further south to make it easier to get to! perhaps thats just me being a bit dumb confusing two entirely different events with the same problems? anyway hope everybody that is there enjoys it
  8. very interesting article jon, if more than a little over my head!! will be interesting to see how the bike turns out if it does go into production.
  9. daz handwash /twintub wasing powder
  10. nice to see theres someone else out there who seems to have a similar skill level to me ! very funny though
  11. just converted my daughters latest 125 gasser to 200 (about 165 actual capacity), put a head spacer on it this time, lovely soft power delivery, bike is also easier to kick up now, ideal size bike for mere mortals like myself, the 125 conversion is also quite light compared to a 250 a bit of a bonus when you only weigh 8 stone i should think
  12. hope you're not using that shiny new landrover discovery for changing tyres gary!
  13. nice to have the facility for replicating! is your brother chinese? a very useful bit of kit though especially when you have four bikes to do
  14. i bought a tyre bead breaker from gguk, best forty quid i've ever spent i think, changing a tyre takes about 10 mins now, including cleaning the rim up as well, good idea to get some proper tyre soap as well if you haven't got any, far less messy than fairly liquid. the breaker is about 15inches long is that portable enough?
  15. don't know about the reed block spacers etc, (i have a head spacer on my 250) but agree you are probably correct in your "overbiked" analysis, i converted a 07 125 pro to 200 (160? actual cc) last week for my daughter ( 2nd time i've done it), she was a bit tired after her training day at bracken so i rode it on sunday and it had plenty of power for my limited skills, although i still think it's a bit sharp, perhaps needs a slow throttle on it, having said all that i borrowed a mates 290 evo a few weeks ago when my gasser refused to run when i got there and really liked that as well, the old addage must be true "biggest is best"
  16. if pegasus had moved to next week they would then have clashed with peterborough, a club they share a lot of their entry with,i was also at pegasus today and will be at peterborough next week, as said previously people go where suits them and the mothers day phenomenon ( have i spelt that correctly!) may have played a part in enties, but the main reason is probably likely to be the bemrose, a few were missing at pegasus to the bemrose today.

  18. the good thing about v rubber tyres is if you get a puncture it won't make any difference, the side walls are so stiff you wont notice your tyre has gone down!! the last prices i saw for v rubbers weren't that much cheaper than irc, if you buy a v rubber the grip soon dissappears when its worn whereas an irc will still give good levels of grip when worn, at the end of the day it just depends how much you want to spend and what route you are riding, i think they areprobably fine for the beginners route, (only my humble opinion)
  19. have just received a message from the landowner saying the venue is inaccessable, so the trial is now cancelled, apologies to all, next trial feb 7th if we have thawed out by then !!
  20. if your bike is a pro, assume it is being 07, you only need 400/450ml in the gearbox, get the bike upright and fill until you are 2/3rds up the sight glass, and yes they are the right bolts, might want to try tilting the bike all ways to get as much of the old oil out as poss
  21. never mind about yer dad riding your bike in the east yorks 2 day, get on with your college work you waster, according to the post time you'd only been in class about 5 minutes before your mind started wandering, anyway he's only making excuses not to ride his gasser because he's worried about it conking out oh no i forgot gass gas don't have reliability problems, is he taking a spare frame for your beta?

    K-roo 80

hi graham, we had an earlier version of this for my daughter a few years ago, air cooled mono, don't know what the differences are engine wise but the engine in the one we had was brilliant, really soft and smooth, almost impossible to stall, but still had enough go for most things, best person to talk to for info would be bill pye at frankfield garage 01642 722378, hope this helps
  23. ah yes, well spotted jon, forgot that i'd poked the ball out of the straight nipple i used i may have run a small drill bit down it as well, can't remember though, must be my age!
