Would love to now more about this type of bike spotted at the DK Mansell trial last Sunday, there were two of them riding round...a brief chat with one of the riders, he mentioned tha the motor was made in China (a Honda copy?) 200cc and very sweet sounding indeed.

Hi guys so far I used a lot of momentum and a CRF250 now I got myself a TLR200 Reflex '87 everything works not great, more redneck-mint, but the bike is ridable the engine seems healty, starts at 1st kick and puills strong but the stoppers sorry, I am used to some 'negative acceleration' when I pull the lever here I hear a 'clunk' but there is no real slowing down the rear end does not work much better I had both ends apart, the brake shoes looked to be in good condition, so I roughened the surface a little, cleaned the drums, lubed the pin, adjusted the cable/rod but did not achieve much improvement is there a trick to turn drum brakes into actual stoppers …

  5. Started by drowned rat,

Just wondering if any of you guys could help me with a couple of problems with my 349 clutch ? I rebuilt the engine some time ago but the clutch has never been right, always drags even when warm. Tried different oils from TQF (dextron) to light gear oil that was for my TXT GG. The TQF made the clutch very snachy, like a on/off switch but still dragged The light gear oil smoothed the take off up but still it dragged. The second problem is that on occasion the clutch will slip when kicking the bike over. I can understand that the plates may be worn and that new ones may cure the slip but is there anything that can stop the drag.

I have a 300 Raga rep, but I find it to tiring to ride for more than an hour at a time ( too old and too fat) so I am looking for a twinshock, which I think would suit me better. I noticed a 325 sherpa on ebay (4617232738). I dont know much about them so any advice would be helpfull, e.g. would that be suitable, Im 6`2 and 16 stone. Also is the price reasonable

I loved that Whitehawk That's a certain (present day) bike importer in the background who was helping out at a training weekend on the land under the original Severn Bridge. Fairly sure it was Gwent STC who organised it.

While my TLR waits for completion, I have turned my attention to finishing up my model 49 Sherpa T. I have seen photos of this model with a silver frame and some with a black frame. Anyone know which is the stock color?

Can anyone help? I have a problem with my recently finished Armstrong. It has a Mk2 Amal concentric on it, goes great for half a trial then tick over gradually increases and the engine starts to run lean, knocks & rattles etc. Any attempt to adjust the pilot screw & tick over are fruitless once this happens. It is very like what happens when you are running low on fuel ie the engine speed increases, but in this case it does not stop running. If I go to the bike now it will run sweetly until it has been going a while. If asked I would say it has an air leak but the engine has new crank seals and new base gasket. Changing the spark plug when its knocking doesn't im…

Just been nosing around on Todotrial Classic and noticed that there is a 6 round European championship for twinshocks this year. This is good news, not only out of interest as to who will contest it (some 'past masters maybe) but also because the events in Belgium, Germany and Holland are within reasonable travelling distance, being not too far from Calais so it is not beyond the realms of fantasy that some UK riders could take some of them in, particularly as they are all 2 day events. The first round is Aywaille, Belgium, which is already an established event. I've never ridden it but it's supposed to be an excellent trial and I really want to get there this year. Shoul…

Hello Twinshockers Something for the cold evenings at home. I was riding on 15 January a AFATA Twinshock Trial Luxeuil in France, see their webpage for more info: http://philmarg.club.fr/index.htm I wrote a report with pics on our club homepage (needs ADSL highspeed, because I put many pics and some clips on it). It's in German, but the pics are "jpg". Before the Trial I visited a nice Museum of Joel Corroy, Scottish Pre65 rider http://www.twnclub.ch/classic_trial_files/...Luxeuil2006.htm the Trial is on the next page: http://www.twnclub.ch/classic_trial_files/...xeuil2006_2.htm I don't know about Twinshock events in UK, but I think not winning or riding the best…
