Well done to Jack Challoner who today wrapped up the Youth WTC with two rounds to go, a great achievement and testament to the faith he has been shown by the top trial team.

I know the indoors is different but have we seen the end of the older generation of riders? Doug and Fuji are clearly never gonna get a WTC title indoors, but outdoors is it past them aswell? And raga most would agree the bike advantage handed him the title in 2005, but is 2006 different for outdoors? Bou to win o/s this year?

I just want to say how great it was to have 1979 World Champ Bernie Scheriber visit the USGP this past weekend at the TTC. The response from the public was amazing. People lined up for 2 hours to get an autograpgh and to meet the man. Bernie was very gracious and took time to speak with everyone.Throughout the weekend Bernie could not walk far without meeting a fan. People brought their scrapbooks and photo albums to show Bernie and to get them signed. I am sure that everyone that met Bernie this weekend now has a story to tell. Bernie wanted his visit to benefit the US TdN team so all proceeds from the book signing, t shirt and poster sales went to support Team USA. The …

So whats happened to Monster sponsoring Bou?? If the dominant force in an extreme form of sport isn't attractive enough to sponsor then what the hell do they want!?? He's also not using Arai helmets anymore.

I sent a press release into Patrick's hometown newspaper called the Elkhorn Independent. The editor seemed mildly interested in this good news story. I was hoping those in the trials community both national and worldwide could give a letter to the editor shout-out for Patrick and how proud they should be for his accomplishments. Please title the subject 'Patrick Smage Shocks World' and let them know where you live. That oughta shake up this sleep town. elkinde@elkhornindependent.com

First of all I applaude Toni Bou for taking trials riding to a level that nobody seems to compete with and we British wern't complaining when Dougie was doing it week in, week out! But is it worth while for anyone out of the top 4/5 turning up? The Brits are really struggling this year Dibs bagging a 6th place but a fair bit mark wise off 5th place and Pune just breaking a Ton with Wiggy (well there is a seperate thread about him?). Jack seems to be putting the hours in and is climbing slowly, but I do wonder if 6th/7th can be done? Guys at Club, National and International(SSDT) level know when they set off in their van to the trial they are not going to win, but they…

Just thought I'd start a thread where people could make suggestions for improvements which would make Hawkstone even better than it was last year. I know a lot of the organisers are on here, and I've no doubt if we have some valid suggestions they will make every effort to improve things. My first one, from an observers point of view would be to rope off the spectator area. Probably our biggest hassle of the day was stopping spectators coming round the back and ending up stood between the ends flags etc. Not particularly the spectators fault, it's natural to want to get a decent view. Maybe try to separate the sections a little more, if at all possible - Around 8,9,1…

First lap scores. Junior. Browny and Wiggy first and second respectively. 125 Danby second. Still early days though. WTC Bou 1, Raga 4, Fuji 22, Doug 23, Fajardo 24, Caby 26, Dibs 33. Looks like a 2 horse race. FIM Results

Spanish web site zonatrial are reporting that Future TRW want Cabestany for next season, and that James Dabill is off to try enduros!! Could it be musical saddles over the winter, or of more concern how many riders in the main WTC next year?

On a similar topic to the Laia Sainz post - for those of you who were following the big boys round the last lap - what would you have given Raga on section 11? This was where he got the tape hooked over his back wheel and managed to hook it out with his foot. He got a two for his dabs. I heard a few people murmering it should have been a '5'. What d'ya reckon? And why! I was the fat bloke that left it at two fingers by the way

Whilst having the greatest respect for all the riders who will be competing in the British world round on july 31, i hope they are the one's that will be getting all the profits from the event. After visiting the web site i can't help thinking that some one is out to make money on the back of the trial, i just hope that the riders ride on a percentage basis. After all they are the one's that risk life and limb weekin weekout in persuit of there dream's. If this event will be live on BBC tv like the sport of Darts !, i would pay twice the ticket price asked. If the organisers of this event and the A.C.U. could get the TV Directors interested in this event, trials mite …
