Reading a report of the trial there seems to be a great deal of praise for the courage and determination shown by Dougie in completing day 2 of the French Round. Which was contrary to Doctors advice. He even went on the clean the section were he had his serious crash. Much to the delight of the crowd. It even describes Doug as special and not from this planet. He is special and he isn't from this planet. He's from Yorkshire. What a bloke?

Laia Sanz joins team Montesa Laia Sanz, current womens' World trials champion, will join the factory Montesa-HRC team in 2004. The team is very proud welcoming into its ranks a new reference for this motorcycling speciality at world series level. Born on December 11, 1985 in Corbera de Llobregat (Barcelona), Laia Sanz is the best female rider in the history of the sport, a status proven by the four World series titles achieved by the young Catalan rider from the year 2000, as well as the European titles in the last two seasons. The time is nearly upon us for Sheffield and the start of the 2009 ITWC season. So, what's the reckoning for Saturday? the season ahead?? For my money it's gonna be a 2 horse race with 'maybe' only Fajardo 'possibly' stealing a win from the big 2. I think that if Raga can win on Saturday, he could retake his crown although he is going to need to be on it big time every minute of every trial to stop Bou. My bet - 1: Raga 2: Bou 3: Caba/Fajardo

Good luck to all the young British lads in the Spanish and french world rounds. Especially to Wiggy and Jono Richardson who are moving up to tackle the next class, wiggy the top route to make the fourth brit in the pro class and Jono in the juniors. Good luck to Jack challoner who we know can win the Junior class, and to morph and Jack shepard, and every other British man and boy. ENGLAND EXPECTS!! (is that a bit over the top?)

Considering this was only his second indoor trial young Michael rode absolutely outstanding. Other riders have stepped up the huge level to this type of event and struggled, Browny looked confident throughout and showed great composure, even when experiencing mechanical problems. Not only that he rode more sections then any other rider on the night, as he had to ride the shoot out with Ross and Wiggy. I'm sure I am not alone in being very proud of his awesome performance and I hope we see a lot more of him riding indoor events. Hopefully with not as much running about for poor Shaughan, who also responded to the big stage superbly.
