Quite simply the indoor WTC has become a farce. Three rounds this year have now been cancelled and its going to take a huge amount of effort to put some prestige back into this event. I put the blame firmly onto Andy's favourite company, Octagon, their pathetic attempts at organising and promoting this series have put the indoor WTC back 10 years and totally justifies Avondale's decsion to go it alone. The question is who will organise it next year? Mr Bean, the English FA, DEFRA.

Hi all. Going up alone for the day (on vacation in Spain); just checking if anybody wanted to join me around the course. Have rental car plan to check around the start if the Swedes doesn't start to early; maybe a single or a few of the opening sections in the town for b-group before heading for the main group (5-13) for all teams and over to last group (14-18) and then open schedule depending on traffic etc. Prolly a few sections on main and then final group on second lap. Will cheer on Swedish team (congrats Marcus Igelström to the spot in the team and good work in Portugal Eddie!) ; will be tight with Germany for the B-group with Chech (2-4th) and Aussie team (3-4…

Hi everyone, I've looked on the trial GP website and it says that Freesports do a catch up on the rounds but can't see it on their TV listings page is there anywhere else that shows it like The X-Trial package. Cheers

Got our tickets for the World Trials Rounds on the 26th-28th July through the post today. Ends up young lads in London the week before and doesn't fly back till Friday 26th . So we have four spare tickets for Friday , now Fridays a great day brilliant to watch and get used to the sections , see the new bikes , speak to riders etc. and best off all watch them practice which is sometimes more entertaining than the trial. Price : Free to any Trials Central Supporter . Well worth going to see what can be done on a trials bike. Will post first class.

He must be about 76 - he scored his first world championship points in 1984 when Lejeune, Schrieber etc were still about and some in Italy last weekend. My hat is off to him.

Team selection for GB? Price and Martyn, with no Dabill... If i didn't know better it would nearly look like the X-trial organisers chose that team

For all the close season moves it was still Bou v Raga in the final. Casales 3rd is a great result Bincaz 4th also good but Benoit better indoors and I hope he can transfer this talent outdoors this year. Busto was the guy Honda appeared to think would ultimately replace Bou. Still has time on his side but needs to start winning occasionally this year. Fajardo has not yet adapted to the sherco but still exceptional on his day. Indoor maybe not the best indicator due to extreme sections, 0 or 5 and the scoring being reset each round.

Great to hear that Albert pushed Toni all the way, shame he didn't win, it's surely about time he got to win again, he really is a superb rider. To anyone lucky enough to go, How did the sump rule go, any protest about it.

Has anyone else noticed that in post-event interviews and press releases, all of the HRC-Montesa riders are almost literally falling over themselves to state that their relatively poor results are emphatically NOT the bike's fault. From the Barcelona press release (there are many other examples - check the FP news): Dougie: "...I made too many mistakes and have again been left out of the final. It's disappointing, of course, but we are all aware of being involved in a very interesting technical project, and that apart from requiring constant work, we run the risk that the result could eclipse our efforts." Freixa: "...We all generally made the same sort of mistakes, as …

Just had a quick look at another couple of charts since I came to work this evening. Saturday, You could be really lucky and only have a few patches of light rain to deal with tomorrow might catch the odd heavier burst but not much, last nights model seems to have overdone it a bit. Pic 1 is three consecutive frames from what we call Morph (no not tony harts wee plasticine buddy) for 12z 15z and 18z tomorrow (1pm, 4pm and 7pm). As before smaller blue dots is very light rain the bigger dots a little heavier, green and yellow heavier still. By proper drinking time it should be dry 24 degrees Sunday looks ok, but there are showers around and you MIGHT catch a couple. Pic …

I'm planning my diary well ahead, so does anyone know the date for next year's Sheffield indoor trial? First Saturday is the 1st, so I'm presuming it'll be 8th Jan... who knows?
