Hi All, When cleaning the rear brake (2021 braktec) and I've clearly got some air in the system when pushing the brake pots\pistons back in as the brake now doesn't work at all. I've taken the brake off the bike, reverse bled (several times to make sure all the air is out, hung the reservoir up high, tapped the line etc) but now only one pot\piston comes out when I put the brake on (off the bike still). I assume that I've unaligned the pot\piston when pushing it back in, and that's why it's stuck. I also assume the solution is to take the caliper apart, pull the pot out, put it back in straight and re-bleed? Any tips or idea…

I'm very very new to Trials riding. Have about 2 hours of riding in so far on a 2006 GasGas TXT Pro 280 I just bought. I have a lot of MTB experience and a decent amount of motorcycle experience (road MC only). Thought these two skillsets would just make Trials riding a breeze. Not so. Anyway, I'm just having an issue wheelying or rather just getting the front tire up. I can do it but I catch a lot of speed and/or wheelie out backwards and send the bike into the bush. I know I should be covering the rear brake to get the front down when this happens. My problem is though, if I have my foot over the rear brake, when I go to load the suspension to prepare for getting t…

Good Evening folks, I’m looking to get into trials as mentioned in other posts and am currently bike shopping. Initially I was looking for a twin shock as it reminded me of my youth and an old TY I once had. But, to be honest, the prices are a bit off putting and I have a budget to stick to so had decided to find the best Beta 200 or 250 I can for what I want to spend. But I keep finding myself attracted to the air cooled monos, cheaper than twinshocks generally, a bit more up to date I guess but with a bit more ‘soul appeal’ than some of the modern iron. I’m a sucker for a classic bike and don’t mind a bit of tinkering. Would there be any disadvantages to …

Good afternoon all. It's probably been covered somewhere on here but I can't find it, so beta 300ss with grimeca brakes. Back brake started locking after 10 mins I've greased everything up and changed the pads but the retaining clip is missing ( I'm assuming it should have 1) could this be my problem and where would I get 1 if so I've looked everywhere online and had no joy. Hello, I’m just looking for some direction if anyone can help. I’ve had bikes all my life, I’m 53 now and looking to get into trials. I had a TY175 many moons ago but have never ridden competitively. My only recent trials riding experience was at a ‘trials experience’ day in Wales recently where was given a competition spec (apparently) Gas Gas 300 to play with and it was far too much for me! I eventually launched it through a fence after accidentally grabbing the throttle over a log……! Hello...I've had a couple Gas Gas bikes...mostly older, my abilities are growing and I just sold my 06 Raga 300. I've found, not anywhere close to me, a couple bikes...one a 2012 txt 300 pro which is in the price range (3's) but a literal day drive away...then a 2019 Gas Gas 300txt racing...which is close to 2k more in asking price and in the 5's. My question is this....for a bike I want to ride and grow with is the minty 2019 THAT much better than the really really nice shape 2012 as far as performance and bike for the money. Hi. Have ridden off road for years but never had trials bikes before. Bought an old 05 GG 300 txt pro which needed a bit of tlc to have a play about on. Only been out once on it and it popped the thermostat out along with all its coolant. Gear oil was milky too so replaced waterpump and put fresh fluids in. Need advice as it still seems to be overheating. Fan appears to come on and run as it should, then after pottering about for 5-10 mins it starts to steam and spit coolant out of the breather pipe. All hoses are hot so pretty sure circulation is OK. Don't know if it's relevant but I'm pretty sure the bike has a 280 top end not a 300. And ha…

Me again guys. I'm after removing the swingarm off my 2001 Gasser. Anyone know what size the nut is that holds the swingarm spindle in? Looks like 22mm but my 22mm sockets won't go in the hole. Cheers in advance. Dave.

Might have been covered elsewhere but just in case. I read a piece in The Times today about standard petrol in the UK getting watered down (obviously not with water…) from September this year. What the article said was that cars over 10 years old might suffer (sorry have binned the paper so ‘suffer’ will have to do for now!!) and you’ll have to use premium petrol. I’ve always used cooking petrol in both my old (seventies) twin shocks and modern bikes. Is it OK just to switch to the higher grade petrol? Any change to twinshock premix required? Thanks for any advice!

Silly question but humour me; The 2013 Sherco ST I bought earlier this year has always suffered from clutch drag-terrible when cold, just annoying when warm. Last weekend I bled the clutch and changed the gearbox oil- 450ml Putoline light gear oil. Just started the bike and wobbled around the garden, and it's worse than before. I'm thinking maybe it wasn't absolutely empty and so now it's slightly overfilled?

Hi all, I have ridden my 2020 GasGas 280 for about 50 hours and the rear brake became less effective with squeaking noise. The brake pads seem to have life left. I would appreciate your thought about it. Should I change the pads? Or brake fluid? Or clean the surface of the pads and disc? thanks,

Hi, I introduced myself a couple of weeks ago with the intention of buying an Electric Motion. I instead bought a 260 4rt - new, from Inch Perfect trials after a days training on an intermediate course. so, what have I learned? 1, trials is a fascinating, addictive activity but is extremely tiring for the over 55, 2 stone overweight, deskbound out of shape operative! 2. Trials is relatively safe but it can bite. A lady on my course was airlifted from Inch perfect with snapped tib and fib! Ouch, freak accident, not on a section, hope she recovers well. 3. Stationary balancing is very hard, hopping the front harder and the rear harder still. How do they do it…
