Hi Guys, A bit of backstory first: I'm 38 years old, pretty athletic and as a younger man raced short circuit on a 600, plus dabbled with motocross for circa 10yrs- racing 250 2t and 450 4t at club level (and slowly. I wasn't great). I also rode a lot of street trials, becoming friendly with a pro mtb trials rider- I wasn't great but I had half an idea what I was doing. During lockdown my father restored a 1971 Bultaco Sherpa, I tried it and loved it. There are two trials centres within an hour of me, so I bought a 2001 Gasgas TXT 250. Hi all, Since I bought a GasGas last September, I have been practicing almost everyday in my backyard. In the beginning, I developed pains in both wrists and elbows. Although most of them went away as I got used to it, the pain in my left elbow remains (Golfer's elbow). I thought it would go away sometime but it seems heading south gradually. I wonder if I can get some suggestions to cope with it by changing riding style or the bike settings (higher handle?). My doctor said that stopping the activity would be the best cure but he can do injection of anti-inflammation drugs in the elbow, if I want. I'd appreciate your advises.

Because we can now travel around Catalunya me and my other half decided to go for a day trip up in Lleida to see something different. We looked on a map and found a lake with mountains (bigger mountains than ours at home), castle ruins, lots of green farmland, etc etc. We stumbled upon the Moto Museu de Bassella on the way so had a look around (because it wasn't too hot to leave the dog in the car) and it turned out they had a "75 years of Montesa" exhibit on, taking up a whole floor there. Ozo shocks come stock with 12mm mountings top and bottom. How the hell do I change the bushings out for the top mounts on my mar. They are 15mm I’ve tried to contact PMK He’s done it. Hello, I was looking for recommendations for some wonder product, - capable of cleaning up grubby cast engine parts. The less physical exertion the better, any recommendations? Alloy wheel cleaner any good, or what do you use. I want it like new again, if possible. Thanks

Question for the technically minded. What is the effect of play in the rear suspension linkage and the shock mountings? Does it affect grip, or just delay when the power kicks in? Does it matter after the chain has taken up slack? And lastly, what is a normal amount of play with everything working correctly? Thanks in advance.

I'm not advocating taking the Beta for a spin down the high street to spice things up a bit but I for one have been cutting myself a bit slack on the biking front off late. Let's be frank at 58 there's not many miles left in the off road tank so you've got to take every chance to get out. Normally I would ride at weekends but now I slip off at every opportunity for a play in the local area. This sounds crazy but I've got away with it probably because folk have far more to worry about than me buzzing around. There is a new concept of hydrogen fuelling that could be applicable to future, post petrol, trials bikes and other light vehicles. Hi All, Question, it's impossible to find any information on brand geometry online. How does the Head Angle compare between the Evo and the Vertigo? Currently riding a Gasgas Racing and fancy switching to a bike with steeper geometry - general view is that the Evo is a bit steeper, but can't find any info on the Vertigo? Morning, I've got the red Galfer brake pads on both our Sherco 3.2 and our Scorpa TY125, and have used them also on previous bikes. These pads are praised highly in the community. But they can't convince me. Initial feel is good, but after a few sessions, they start glazing, squeaking, and fail to deliver any bite at all. This happens on all our bikes, and the sensation can be best described as having your pads covered in oil. (they are not) Patching the pads up, by sanding them, works just for a few sessions. We strictly ride in a forest We clean the bikes every session only using tap water, no HP. If brakes need cleaning, we use compressed air…

Hi, this might seem like a really daft question but I'm a complete beginner, I have excessive amounts of black fluid dripping from under my exhaust. I have removed it today to have a good look and when I look through the silencer I seems I have some tissue in there. Is this normal ? Thanks

Hi Folks, Silly question of the day. Knocked out the old wheel bearings on my old Gasgas. Opened the packet of 4 new ones. All correct size (4 of them). But I seem to have 5 old ones on the floor. Did 3 bearings come out of the rear wheel? Is there 2 on the sprocket side? Or am I dreaming. Circlips were both in place on the wheel before I started. New to working on a Trials bike, but is there an extra bearing to take the sprocket force, like the sprocket carrier bearing on a road bike?

Hi Guys, My front wheel is 'a bit :)' buckled, I just wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge as to whether it is possible to straighten it rather then to get rid of it for another one? I would rather have a go at trying to straighten it at all possible?

The 75 KT I am restoring has a threaded boss on the clutch perch for a mirror, but the front brake perch has no provision. I have been looking at all sorts of bikes, and I see some with a mirror, and others with none. What is the factory correct way? Thanks, Mark

I will be restoring a 75 KT 250. For those out there who have restored these bikes, who do you recommend for good used parts? Also on the left handlebar switch which is broken, it has provisions for a turn signal switch. Did these bikes come with turn signals? There are none on this one now. Appreciate any help. Mark

Hi, I'm having trouble with oil leaking from the clutch cover case ( attempted 3 times now) with new o rings every time. Maybe I need a new cover as it appears there is silicone in the grove were the ring sits. I have removed this and it's still leaking. When I think I've sorted it and start the bike to warm up it then starts leaking black fluid from under the rear exhaust some were. Can anyone tell me what the problem is thanks

Hi, When I bought a trial bike, I was surprised by how low the handle is. It hurt my back and wrists but after half a year of practices, I get used to it. However, one thing still hurts me is the impact when the front wheel hits the ground after slow wheelie. I feel like 100% of my body weight is on my wrists and elbows. I have been trying to somehow release the impact to my legs, but not quite sure how I can do it. If there are any tricks for soft landing, I would appreciate it.
