So here's the problem, bought a new IRC rear tyre from my local supplier ( want'ed a Michelin but let them talk me into the IRC ), fitted it in the same way I fit all my tyres ( must have fitted dozens over the years )left it inflated at 20psi over night & went & did a trial the following day. on the morning of the trial I let it down to 4psi as I normally do & set off. 20 minutes later it's flat, puncture I thought. blew it back up and could not see any signs of one so I carried on, 20 minutes later flat again. took the bike home to sort it out.Monday night took it off the rim, no signs of a puncture so i refitted & inflated it to 10 psi and left it at th…

  4. Hi everyone! Before I start with the actual "thread" I want to thank immensely to everyone here at TrialsCentral... Im from Argentina and the trials scene over here is almost none. Theres about 80 guys nationwide that ride trials bicycles (im one of those) and i dont think theres 20 trials motorcycles in the whole country (and im not referring to operative bikes!! im counting everything, old stuff from the 80s, 90s, and early 00´ the sport of motorcycle trials never happended at all... The bikes i know about, most of them not operative or lacking a trials interested owner came from Europe, Chile, or some under-the-table importer... Most of them lack the requiered documen…

Simple question. How much faster is the fast throttle? What are the advantages and disadvantages of slow and fast. I'm riding a montesa 260 4rt. Ordered a fast domino to try out so I'll find out on my own soon enough but would appreciate some feedback and opinions on this subject.✊️

Apart from electric bikes, is there any more ways to develop the petrol bikes? We're at a minimum weight of some 65kg....................so apart from a bit of tweaking and titivation, is there any further strides in Trials bike development that can be achieved and is this it? Seems a bit stuck at present and bikes haven't moved forwards at all over the last 10 years Comparing old Britshocks to the Spanish armada in the 60's and then Spanish and Jap Twinshock advances in the 70's, then the arrival of the revolutionary TY250 mono in the 80's and watercooling and disc brakes of the 90's, follwed by the lightening and better frame/suspension geometry of the early…

hello, If bike sales are down and we need more people to get into our sport to keep it alive what are we going to all do about it? I'm sure we are all very passionate about keeping the trials scene alive as its one of the most skill-full and most impressive motor sports out there. I tell as many people about it as i can most people haven't got a clue what it is thinking its racing! mention good old kickstart and they suddenly get it. personally i cant see no-stop rule changes making it any better, To me its incredible when riders composes him/herself and then springs effortlessly up something from a standing start that must be the most exciting part to watch as …

When I first started (1970s and 80s) entering competitive motorsports entry fees were as follows. Trials about 1/2 to 3/4 of a typical houly rate MX about 1 to 1&1/4 of a typical hourly rate Karting 1 to 1&1/4 of a typical hourly rate Autograss 3/4 to 1 typical hourly rate Now Trials 1 to 2 times typical hourly rate MX (£40) 3 times typical houly rate Karting (£45) more than 3 times typical houly rate Autograss (£6 to £7) 1/2 typically hourly rate I know a major reason why Karting fees have increased is increased safety costs and investment in facilities. These do not apply to off road bike sports so why the excessive increases in entry fees.?

  18. been riding trials for 8 months and my impression is that all the great riders are 155lbs soak and wet and no more than 5'7" I wonder if its really possible to do some of the techniques weighing 240 lbs and being 6'1". So far I ve only seen 1 tall high level rider: Cody Webb. I m talking about hopping on rear wheel, stoppie turns, big splatters, flip turns etc... Does anyone know of a big guy that does it or you have to be small?? I m about to upgrade to a 300 from my 250 on a hope that zaps and hopps get a little easier. so far the only thing I ve notice that help is a handle bar riser. although lots of people say its not a good idea, I m convinced that made ea…

  19. Hello, I'm about to buy a brand new trials motorcycle and I need some advice. First, here's my experience... 2 years ago I've bought a brand new AJP Enduro Pro 240cc (4T), my first motorcycle. I was intending to do some hard-enduro training, but to be honest I ended up riding it mostly on trails with some hills climbing here and there. Even before buying it I was looking at all the things the pros are doing, like jumping over ditches, riding over logs... I never got to try all those. To be honest I lacked confidence. I've tried to learn to do wheelies but no luck there. The bike felt big to me and it also had 2 things that I do not like, so I gave up. …

I know i will be probably opening a big can of worms and lots have been said on the subject but i am wondering how many people actually know the rules of observing !!!! or should i say the rules of trials I consider myself to be reasonably good at observing and have observed at the 3 hawkstone rounds and various other high level trials and have been surprised at the questions being asked regarding what is a 5!!! this is not just about observing at world round level but includes all levels of competion, for example if a ride…
