Here's your chance to get your point over. Let us know where we went wrong, where we went right, any suggestions ideas. From my point of view: 1. Learnt lesson with some of the sections on the banks. The intention of these was to give a bit of variety from all the stream sections, and also to try to create some sections which would perhaps get worse as the day went on, to even up the balance for the first riders, who no doubt get it a little harder in the streams. Some of them turned to sh*t (2 of them really, section 22 and 27). With hind sight, I wouldn't have them. 3's and 5's everywhere, but there you go. 2. Two of the sections in the stream (23 and 24) were altere…

Alan Gosden is now the main orgainiser of events at Shorwell, any inquires contact him on 01983865495. I am mainly working on the British indoor youth trial on the Saturday night, and have today had a meeting with the owner of Brickfields arena who will be organising extra seating for the event. He has also given us permision to have a big PA system set up in the arena with a DJ banging out the tunes. We also hope to have a light show going on so its looking more and mor…

With entries due to close on Monday here is your last chance to enter the Worlds most gruelling one day Trial for this year. As one of the top events in the UK Trials callendar the current entry list includes all the top runners in the British Trials Championship, this includes Steve Colley who hasn't taken part for a few years. Also in the entry list is Amos Bilbao who is becoming one of the hardened regulars! The Scott isn't just for top lads it's a great event for the club riders to take part in or even gain a coveted finishers certificate. Most of the sections are no harder than those the club uses on the Clubman route for the Reeth Three Day, it's just the bits in be…

A big thank you to Ian McConnachie and Barry Burton along with all the helpers for a great three day trial. Every one could see how much time and effort had been put in. Chris and Ben both said on the way home there was not one bad section over the three days! how often can you say that?

The regs will be available shortly for the OK Supreme Long Distance Trial. The event which is a round of the ACU Trail bike championship, will compete over a 75 mile course starting in Moreton in Marsh on Sunday 25th September. The route will include both trails and long sections of private land not normally open to traffic. Aimed at trail bikes, the OK supreme will include 30 sections set out on the Cotswold hills, which will be ridden without inspection, so will therefore be wide and straight-forward. Last year the trial was won by Steve Venn on his Pampera 250 from Cheltenham, who completed the course for no marks lost. The best rider on a 400 fourstroke rid…

Just a quick note to say well done to the NE Youth Team (Lewis Peart, Dale Robson, Joe McMeekin, James Brooke and John Battensby) on Saturday after riding a trial that would have seen many a good adult rider retiring due to driving rain through the night and the duration of the trial which meant that 5s were the order of the day. With A and B class sharing the same route we were always on the back foot fielding 3 B class riders. I think it would be fair to say our lads struggled with the A and B route although the C route was about right. However, despite running right up to the time limit (which was extended by 1 hour and 3 sections being cancelled on the 2nd lap) the la…
