  1. I wonder how many of the 'doubters' from the off road community who have sniggered and finger pointed and given him 'no chance at all' of finishing the worlds toughest trial had the decency to pop over to him on the finish line and give him a few quid towards his worthy cause??? I must admit, having had a go at the trial, both last year and this I had half an idea just how hard it really is (having got about half way round), and I thought he would 'do well' to get around the course at all, never mind in time, interestingly I noticed most of the sniggers and negativity came from people who appeared to be short of a bike, official entry number and a start time !!!! At lea…

competed in forest trophy trial on sunday, great event as mention else were, but hey was it wet and cold. I only had trial trousers and trial jacket on and I froze, took some of the enjoyment from a great trial for me. so I need a decent set of wet weather gear, so what is the best, I dont expect to keep bone dry but I need to keep that wind off, ( dont say stop eating the beans) . who was wearing what and how was it. saw some guys in combat jackets??. and some guy had shorts on?????

I'm thinking about going to watch the St David's British round. Anyone know exactly where the venue is? Is it far to walk round? Are the section accessible? Having been to see the Lochaber and Bradford rounds last, wouldn't mind a weekend away in Wales!

My local 'Classic Bike' shop has closed where I used to buy, a stick on background (BSI Approved !) and compact (read small) letters for my reg plate. I haven't needed to make a bike plate since this new law about producing a V55 and no stick on letters came in. What's the crack ? Are there any dealers around that will still sell this stuff. or are there any other suggestions for creating the plate - not looking for it to be legal, but maybe a bit bigger than the plate that MarkyBoy sports on his Scorpa

how come theres been a pre 65 class for so long yet no classes for 76/82 machines etc , im refering to these years as IMHO these years were the years that trials bikes evolved taking gaint leaps in design/function etc! , i know theres a twinshock class/route! but these seem to be few and far between? isn't it time the ACU etc brought in the above cut off years (or similiar) there must be hundreds of twinshock/spanish bikes out there being done up ready to go!!! some local trial's ive competed in do a modern, pre 65 and novice easy route! but it seem's twinshock bike's sit in no mans land, ive posted this after reading nearly the same comment in trail bike magazine! y…

The government in threatening to close a large number of green lanes - this will drastically effect trailriding and will have a knock on effect on all the big trials events too, such as the Sammy Miller series & the ACU Classic series, in fact any event that uses green lanes to link up the sections. To safeguard your sport/hobby we all need to act now. Preston Kemp of www.MuddyStuff.co.uk has put together a useful campaign resource page here. http://www.muddystuff.co.uk/campaign/default.asp Please read and contact your MP ASAP. Check the links above and also please read the TRF action pack pdf file here. http://www.motomerlin.dsl.pipex.com/trfaction.pdf Th…

I think that if you look at the comments after the wallace re marking then someone needs to grasp the nettle and say what is and is not a 5 clearly, explain and if necessary during practice demonstrate this to the riders observers and officials, otherwise inconsistences event to event, observer to observer, will create a situation which far from helping the BTC will ruin it before no stop is given a chance to work or not.

Hello there, does anybody know where I can take my newly aquired, cheap old Gasa For a spin? Its my first trials bike at the ripe old age of 39! Had and still have road and enduro bikes but this is a whole new ball game. Like a learner again! Cheers Kev.
