Doncaster, what a great place .. Seriously ... Does anyone know of any decent practice areas within say 20 mile radius, where I can take myself and two sons, 9 and 12, Trials riding without getting hassled by either chavs on nicked Honda 90's, 'crossers or the police ? There are a couple fo really good motocross tracks near us, Armthorpe and Austerfield, but they don't like Trials bikes .. We'd travel further for really good places .. We have a couple of areas that are accessible and relatively free of hassle, but not really totally legal, slurry pits etc between the Pilkingtons Glassworks and Thorpe Marsh power station for instance, and not really safe or offering …

In our part of the country where club memberships are small and run by members who are riders it has always been a problem getting observers. Events normally end up short of observers resulting in members giving up rides or sharing observer duties. What are other clubs doing to attract/reward people who are kind enough to observe or do they have some kind of system for riders to do the observing and ride.. Large membership clubs who have non riding members perhaps don't get this problem or do they?

Just a warning that North Yorkshire Police have a New Chief Constable and He's got an attitude problem. They are running "Operation Helical" which is targeting certain roads in North Yorkshire. Amongest the aims to to prosecute Drivers 2 or 3 mph over the limit . Hence keep an eye out this weekend as the BIB in North Yorks are not friendly. Roads they will be on are below. It's a full list of all roads targeted. Not just those leading to the Venues. Western Area Craven District 1 A65 Skipton to Gargrave Road. Skipton Bypass A59 junction to Gargrave 2 A59 Beamsley Bank 3 A65 Austwick to Settle 4 B6479 junction of the B6255 to Austwick Road Harrogate District 5 A61 …

Just thought I'd see if anyone was planning on heading to Bagshot Heath this Sunday! NHMC normal club round. At least 3 routes ranging from 1st time novice-able to down right suicidal-able! Lovely place to ride with good old fashioned hills as well as enough logs/rocks etc to keep the bunny hoppers happy! Will be riding a Scorpa sy125f - noticeable by having a blue rear fender. Hope to see someone from here, there! All the best! Pete.

HELLO ALL, I have just bought my first Trials bike. I live in Whitchurch north Shropshire. Do any of you out there know of a trials club near me? Any places to practice? Do you know where I can get some training? Does anyone do a weekend starter course? Where can I find out when trials are taking place? Any help would be appreciated. I am very keen to get this bike dirty and start learning how to ride it. THANKS.
