Hi all, ever since i was a kid i wanted a trials bike, i used to love watching Kick start (if anyone remembers that?). Now im not a kid id like to get into trials, however the only bikes iv ridden are Honda Pedal and Pop, and a Honda CB100N road bike (used as a field bike, gypo style), so im inexperienced to say the least. I would like some help in know what to go for as a first bike, what engine size etc. Im going to have to try to keep the budget down incase i truely suck at it and end up breaking something. Any comments or suggestion would be much appreciated. oh and if iv posted in the wrong section, please let me know and i will try to move it. Ash

Hi, Just recovering LOL from entering the Essex n Suffolk's Trial on Sunday @ Raydon, I'm very new to all this, I found the trial quite a challenge - a good thing, I'm not moaning its only my 3rd attempt. I attempted every section and received 165 out 210 points (I came last LOL) But I'm surprised so many of the "Novices" look like experts to me....... Is the Novice really the clubman and should I be looking for Beginners / Wobbler's trials.. Just like to hear peoples thoughts on difficulty factor, a couple of the guys there said different clubs run at different leaves of difficulty. I'm off to practice jumping over logs without bailing out LOL NLL

EVIDENCE SOUGHT ON GREEN LANES The CLA in the North is asking to hear from members with experience of vehicles, such as 4x4s and motorbikes, using green lanes as the Government sets up a new working group to look at the issue. The Green Lanes Environmental Action Movement (GLEAM), which is expected to be represented on this group, is seeking information about problems in as many areas of the country as possible to convince both the Government and potential allies on the group about the seriousness of the issue. If you have any examples of problems with green lanes, please email xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxx.org.uk and we will pass this on to GLEAM. Please send: · Digital…

For those who don't read the front page, looks like it's all kicking off. Allegedly Shirty altered a section which cost Michael a five and the championship title. Shirty denies it - report here Malcolm Rathmell steps in and says he was, indeed, cheating - report here

Waiting for dinner to cook, I've taken a look at the Vic Brittan results and thought there seemed to be quite a few TRS's in the results, so I had a quick count in excel & this is what was ridden in the event. So after going bust & being bought, on the basis of this trial at least, there are still more Gas Gas being ridden than anything else and of the newer brands only TRS appear to be making any headway (maybe because this is Midland Centre, near to the importer?) 32 Gas Gas 20 Beta 13 Sherco 12 Montesa 11 TRS 3 Yamaha …
