  3. What sort of numbers could we get on a petition to take to the government, ref loss of land to hold events and areas to practise ? if we dont put this forward then trials will simply become a thing of the past ! I'm busy drafting a letter to my local MP that distinguishes us trials riders from mini moto's (riding streets without helmets, etc), illegal mx'ers, green laners and 4x4's. I really think that those taking action against 'off road users' dont understand trials and therefore tar all with the same brush ! Trials has been around for over 50 years .... mini moto's have been around less than three and we now face extingtion because of this group of people ... WHY ?…

Morning all. Summer has barely arrived on these shores and the Scott regs are out! Besides riding the trials bike for hours on end flat out what do you good people think is the best preparation for it? Cycling, running etc?

I've just been having a look on the ACU website and spotted their "Child Protection Policy" on the front page. The part on photography is somewhat interesting (to me anyway). "There is evidence that some people have used sporting events as an opportunity to take inappropriate photographs or film footage of young and disabled sportspeople in vulnerable positions. It is advisable that all sporting organisations adhere to the appropriate guidelines given below: Professional photographers/filming/video operators wishing to record the event should seek accreditation with the event organiser by producing their professional identification for the details to be recorded. Went up there today to find the gate locked and Gloucestershire City Council signs saying NO MOTORCYCLES. I knew they would ruin it, see here: http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....amp;hl=kilkenny I'm guessing now that is shut down (after however many years) that it'll never be open again.

Someone has butchered a paint job on the scorpa I bought. It's the wrong colour and its all cracked on the tank with expanding. I was going to leave it but it looks pants. How is it best to start stripping the crap off and painting it again. I've just seen a video of Rit dye but that seems a little restrictive. Its a 2003 scorpa sy250. Also, the mud guard has developed a fracture just after the bolt hole. I dont think it helped being on the back of the DC bike rack and the wind pulling up on the guard, in future i will remove the mud guard when its on the rack. if i drill holes either side of the crack and use small cable ties will that do for now? this is a topic that might of been on here before if so sorry. but i was at a trial at the weekend where a observer took a mouth full of abuse from a rider. to me this just aint on yes sometimes you think they get it wrong (sometimes they DO get it wrong) but shouting swearing and acting like a prat wont change that the only thing it will do is potentionally stop that person doing the job again. I know how hard it is at some event's to get all the observers you need and beleive me it can be a pain in the back side. every rider reading this who has give up his ride to let the event go on will know exactly what i mean. so next time you think the observer got it wrong dont s…

Any one from the Midlands coming over to Breidden Hills at Nantmawr on Sunday who could give Andy (yes the Andy - Trials Central) a lift back to Birmingham Airport. Ian is OK but it would release him so he could crack on with the results.

Seems that this class is no longer recognised between lack of interest from riders and some importers believe is is no longer a valid class. There are 15 in the Championship class - a couple of new riders, leaving only 35 spaces fot the expert class that 65 have applied for. Should be an interesting championship. If anyone has any strong opposing views to the omission of the masterclass then you must let the ACU know within seven days. Dis
