Hi has any one robe a trial event with the amca as a guest . I'm just wo during what the costs are as I know from mx a day licence can cost 50 to 60 quid . But on a trial is it any less . Thanks ian b

Is there any point in joining an AMCA club, does it cover you for anything when riding AMCA events. Obviously with the ACU it enables you to obtain a licence etc. It is a rare occasion that I do AMCA events, but I did one a couple of weeks ago and could not remember if my membership had lapsed. It seems to be 90 % ACU nowadays. Thanks in advance.

I’ve just received my AMCA licence but it seems I’m not a member of any club, will this cause me any problems entering trials? The application form I used had N/A in the club section

Hi Guys Been talking to the AMCA today about them running a champ series to cover the whole country, as well as regional champs, what we need to know is if you guys would be up for this, may start with 3-5 rounds around the country to make it fair on people travelling. Will try and get it backed by a sponsor so winners get something for there troubles and we would also get better reports in the TMX. If you could post below if your interested in either competeing or running a round thanks Glen Howard

Good evening, can someone please tell me if there is any reason why I could not enter an AMCA trial. I seem to recall there being a rule that if you were an ACU license holder you weren't permitted to ride in AMCA events or have I got that totally wrong?. Cheers in advance.

Hi all, just returned to trials after a 10 year lay off through illness. Just done my 3rd trial and a big thankyou to all who have welcomed me back Michael, Micky, Mark to name a few . My point is, yes its ok when you are trialing for years and know all the venues, its easy to find, but for me, and lads new to trials its a bit hard to find the venue. So my appeal to you is list the full adress, or at least a postcode /google earth map/or nearest postcode. I know contact numbers are posted but few seem to answer and none have replied. Also, no indication of standard is posted ,eg I have only ever rode 'easy' My first trial was a championship trial, second ,no easy, th…

Just got my entry off for this event. It's Sunday May 18th and is being hosted by the Taunton MCC. It's a LDT (or 'Sporting Reliabililty Trial' as they call it) and is around 55 miles or so around Exmoor and the Brendon Hills and will cover some public highway so a road reg'd bike will be required. Is anybody on here planning on doing it too? I'm looking forward to it but not to standing up all the way on my Rev 3! Shaun.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or know of anyone that will dismantle wheels, anodize the rims and hub then rebuild ? I used Jamie at candy wheels in the past but he no longer has a website .... or he has changed it ! Cheers

This week sees the Government launch a consultation on post-Brexit agricultural subsidies with an accent on recreational access. Several groups see this as a chance to increase their access to "the countryside", no doubt at our expense. There must be officials from both ACU and AMCA on here - can they tell us if these organisations have been invited to take part and, if not, what steps are to be taken to ensure our voice is heard?

Apologies for asking more questions about this event but its the first time we have been to this event and even worse my mate is trying to organise it . As it stands our ferry doesn't get in until friday midnight is it OK to sign on to the trial Saturday morning as there is no other ferries available from Liverpool on Friday Thanks for your help in advance my mate will be buying the beers saturday night!!

Some of you may have noticed the announcement on the front page. I see the ACU want a "junior" version of the S3 Series for riders up to 23. Personally I think we have more than enough Nationals. Aside from the already congested fixture list that forces many clubs to run Trials on the same dates as other clubs in order to fit around National and Centre Trials where do they think these riders are coming from? Those who can already compete in the BTC or S3. The rest can afford to run in their local events or prefer the multi lap format Stop or No-Stop. Then of course there is the problem of finding land to run a 2 lap 20 section trial. Hard enough when you include road work…

Set of to go practising today,we went to a place near silsden,i think its called rough holden farm,got there and there was a big sign up "sorry,no bikes till further notice". A bloke came to speak to us and said the landowner had been spoken to by the local council,not sure of the ins and outs but it seems another nail has been knocked into the coffin of trials...Bummer!

Our club recently lost permission to use a venue that has been use only one or twice a year for the past thirty years or more. The venue is Nigg Bay which is a very short stretch of rocky coast line just at the mouth of Aberdeen harbour. The land crossed to access the coast is council owned and for the past thirty plus years they have been happy for us to cross it. The venue itself is on the rocks between the high and low water marks and as such is Crown land not under the councils control but as I said we need to use a coastal path to access it. I was at my FLD looking at the new Bonnie and said dealer mentioned that, as of next year, all motorcycles must have anti lock braking. A quick Google seemed to confirm this. Can anyone in manufacture/import say how this will affect the ability to register a trials bike or will the SSDT become "used bikes only"? Is the ACU aware of this one?
