SSDT Chat

Such a popular event it deserves it's own forum!

With two gruelling days of the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) under her belt, twenty year old Emma Bristow is leading the ladies class by a margin of nineteen marks. It would be fair to say that running up to this iconic event World number two Rebekah Cook was the girl to beat and the one that everyone would be watching, but whilst Becky has ridden well it has been Ossa mounted Emma who has stolen the show so far. "Monday was a really good ride for me, I just managed to get into a comfortable pace quite quickly and come the end of the day I was more than pleased with my result having built up a small margin between me and the other girls. Tuesday was also good, I think …

Jordi Pascuet (JotaGas) sat alone at the top of the leader board as the 2012 Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) reached its halfway stage earlier today. The Spanish rider went clean for the third day in a row, to give himself a real possibility of providing the new bike brand with an incredible SSDT winning debut with three days to go. However having already won the SSDT five times previously, Dougie Lampkin (Gas Gas) remains a strong threat to spoiling the Spanish party as he dropped just a single dab today to stay very much in contention for top honours come the end of the week. Just wanted to say a big thanks to Andy once again this year for providing some outstanding pictures so quickly from Fort William. Its one of the highlights of the year on TC for me. I think I enjoy it more than the world round reports. The scenery, the sections, the rain!!!! Thanks mate for making it seem like we are there too, even though we are so far away! Cheers, Steve

I was lucky enough to get an entry in this years SSDT and have decided to attempt to raise funds for charity (Cancer Research UK) in the process, having recently lost my grandmother to cancer. It will be my first attempt at the event and am really looking forward to it! Any donation however big or small will be much appreciated, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all in May! Sponsor Me

Hi all, I am the happy owner of the book 'The Scottish 1900-1962' by Tommy Sandham, published by Willow Publishing. I would like to get the second volume, covering the period 1963-1989 by the same author/publisher. Could anyone provide some information on how to get this second volume ? Many thanks, Pierre

  19. Day one of the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) is a daunting time for all concerned, but for the small number of virgin riders who are new to the event, the opening day is filled with even more tension than usual. 2009 UCI Downhill World Champion and three times World Cup Champion Steve Peat has made his name on the mountain biking scene, but motorcycle trials is still relatively new to the thirty-three year old. Having entered and successfully finished the notorious Scott Trial in 2010 the friendly giant from Sheffield decided to enter the SSDT for 2011.
