as a long time supporter and watcher of the ssdt I think it has now become to predictable for to many years now we have not had the top continental riders after over thirty years with hardly a break I would like to see our top domestic riders put under the pressure that Michaud Vestrinan Shrieber Burgat etc brought to the Highland Classic.

After reading Shirty's SSDT and Beta UK guide for SSDT preparation I thought I would add the over 50's ibruprofen guide to the SSDT. First off your not going to win, so stop dreaming thi old git we can watch the young tykes do that as were catching our wind after each group. Don't ever get off your bike if you can see both start and end cards, once you have walked to the top and back down again you'll not have the energy to start the bugger. Make sure you wear braces to keep thi breeches up, no bugger spectating wants to see an hairy old plumbers crack hanging over the back fender of a trials bike, it just turns them off trials. Pack chapstick and vaseline, …

A rumour circulating the bars of FW last Sunday night was that Beta UK had withdrawn all six 4-stroke bikes due to mechanical problems and that they would only be supporting the 2-stroke Rev-3 bikes! ("Int' beer brilliant" ) Six Beta Rev-4 bikes started the toughest reliability trial in the world last Monday and 5 successfully made it through the week with no mechanical problems at all. Unfortunately, the 6th bike was retired due to rider injury (busted rib or something?). Get well soon fella... Pretty impressive for the bike's maiden SSDT outing, which will hopefully give the trials buying public enough confidence to go out and buy the bikes when Beta hit full produc…

Despite watching/riding the SSDT most years since 1985 we've never been to watch the pre 65 so this year we're going up earlier. Can anyone advise on what sections to go to and what the route is or has it not been published yet? Apologies if this has already been discussed but can't find it if it has. Thanks

If you are a TC regular and are riding this years SSDT or you want to see a TC regular on film this year I need to know names and rider numbers. I know some folks by name and have met a few at previous events but I don't know you all by real names. If you let me have your number I'll try and make sure you make the 2009 video. Cheers John

Am I missing something about TC. I cannot find any 2022 world trials results or SSDT daily results on Trials Central. Yes I'm old and past it these days but why has it all got so difficult. If I go into the SSDT website all they have is up to 2019 results and yes I do know there has been a pandemic happening for the last two years. Can anyone put me on the right track for the SSDT results at least please. TIA

  16. Right, I'm back home with all the footage. I'll be editing it down over the coming weeks and should have the DVD complete and available soon after. Keep an eye out here for more news. Again this year this will be a non profit making enterprise with prices covering only production cost and P&P.

  17. So far we've got eleven SSDT payments into our bank account, and only seven of them can be identified. Already four people have sent their entry fees in without a reference to tell me who they are or who their payment is in respect of. Can I just remind everyone that if we can't identify that a payment is yours, you will lose your place in the trial. Come 15th February I'll be going through all the statements, matching off all the payments we've got with the entrants, and if I can't match your payment with your entry fee then you lose out. No excuses accepted - it's your responsibility to put a reference on your payment. I have neither the time nor the inclination to…
