How to remove gear box cover, need to remove, clutch cable shift arm, so I can remove gear box cover...also does anyone know ,,why it shift hard,..fenders is melting against muffler, am I missing a shield ?? Thanks ..... Michel

Hi A few weeks back I asked the forum for help collecting a bearing I needed from New Jersey and posting it to Ireland. I now have the bearing and can get on with the rebuild with thanks to the kind assistance from Paul. Paul bought the bearing from a distributor and then posted it on to me as they are unavailable in Europe. Bearing was to convert a BSA C15 to needle roller rather than plain bush on the timing side. Thanks Paul and thanks also to Darrell Shannon who was helpful but left for Ireland before I could get the bearing to him. The Trials Central Forum came up trumps for me. Rgds Nigel O'Gorman Ireland

Just think, if our forefathers didn't sign that document in 1776, we'd all still be british and Patrick's win wouldn't have been such a big deal as it is. But we did - and it is. Looking at the comments, our brothers to the north in Canada are just excited about the great news as us in America. Patrick delivered every North American trials fan the best Independence Day present we could ask for. A victory in a sport we all so cherish. I woke up proud to be a North American today. The NATC held their annual meeting over the weekend. Among the highlights at the meeting was a decision to use the term 'MotoTrial' instead of the phrase 'Observed Trials' for the sport. In a discussion elsewhere on here, we are speaking of the various class names that are used, and hopefully working towards some standardisation. Some people feel it is important, and some not but no matter which side you are on, most folks should be able to give their take on this related, but slightly seperate subject. What in your opinion, put into words, makes a rider an "Advanced" class rider. Some of the clubmembers are having a discussion regarding interpretation of the written NATC rule for foot rotation. The choices are: (1) one point for the foot plant and another point for rotating the foot= 2 points for dab and rotation. (2) One point for for dab and no added point for rotation= 1 point for dab and rotation. We all agree that a dab and drag is 3 points. Any opinions? Jon

Has there been any discussion about including aircooled monoshocks in the program?

As a new participant in vintage trials events, I have really caught a bug. I truly look forward to upcoming events as a kid would look forward to Christmas. As my thirst for riding trials grows, I look for more events (within a reasonable driving distance). I have been interested in making it out to some AHRMA events but was alarmed to hear that AMA and AHRMA may be at odds. Has anyone else heard this or are the conspiricists pulling my leg? If AMA was to split, would AHRMA lose it's insurance (which is why I pay my AMA membership)?

AHRMA Vintage Trials - October 2nd and 3rd Trials Training Center, Sequatchie, TN Sections designed for vintage bikes but are acceptable for twin-shock and modern bike support riders. In addition to the AHRMA classes, a support class will be available for twin-shock and modern support riders. No championship sections will be available but all trials riders are welcome to attend. To be clear - the idiot refers to me. I know very little of AHRMA beyond a couple of brief conversations with other local vintage enthusiasts. The general sentiment shared was that AHRMA rules can be somewhat strict when it comes to acceptable vintage bikes. Certainly more so than local club events. Having just returned from Scotland where I was fortunate to compete in the Leven 2-day trial, I'm on sensory overload with all the incredibly cool pre-65 bikes I saw over there.
