Hat tip to Dale Malasek for bringing out the 2010 Gas Gas models at the recent OMA race in Indiana. Dale held a trials school during the weekend and really had the most dominate pit set-up. When we talk crossover - a way to generate new riders in the sport, Dale stood tall this past week. Well done. Full report here.

Hello Folks, We have spoken of this in the past, and I am bringing it up again. I would like to see a short, 5 to 10 minute movie, made to introduce people to Trials. It would need to be kept short to hold the folks attention, for the people that had more interest, then they could look at other already produced movies to learn more. The idea here is to just be a "Spark" hopefully to light a fire in a new rider. One of the problems that many of us have encountered as we lent out movies of Trials is that many people who are not riders, who watch the video's come away saying something along the lines of wow, that is impressive! I could never do that, or let my kids do…

Just to let you know That Dan Brown of TTC has stepped forward and will be supporting Bruce and Brent LeRiche next year during their attempt at the US championships. Thanks very much Dan and I'm sure Brent, Bruce and John (dad) will enjoy Southern hospitality. Also Thanks very much too M.Lawson for his offer in Puget Sound and all others who came forward with offers. Might we mentioning the name LeRiche in the same the same hushed tones as Albertyn and Langston ?

Just talked to my son. Frexia easily won both days. Very slick conditions and silly loop. No cell service at the event, so info slow coming out. http://mototrials.info/?trigger=result&format=sn08&15plus=Y&ser=10&yyyy=2016&dd=18&mm=06&cityid=or&sct=12

We all talked in length about how the NATC works and found out exactly what their position was on the promotion of trials. I believe that most of us thought the NATC was supposed to promote trials when, in fact, their own website clearly states that is not their intention. Now that we know this, the NATC should not be faulted as they have done exactly what they set out to do, and that is create the NATC series. They have done that well. Now that some members of the NATC and the rest of the

Last year for the National in Cotapaxi Co I showed up with a brand new Dunlop 803 on the back of my bike.. Yeah, I was that one guy with a new tire...So after destroying a good tire and finding out that it is near impossible to spin on those rocks I find that we are headed back to CO. in a couple more weeks but to different grounds. My question is to anyone familiar with the Canyon City terrian, is it like Cotapaxi where a 10 year old dry rotted IRC would be fine or would a nice new tire help more. Same rock texture as Cotapaxi? any mud? any loose dirt? water? To better help answer the question I will be riding the Support line and others coming along will be riding…

I would like to add a few observations to Craigs report, very briefly. Brent was a powerhouse on the Mont. all weekend! Nice to hear him "let it rip" on the BIG sections! If you think you need a big bore kit--- think again!, just Open That Puppy UP! Bruce had a great day on Sunday with another WIN! Congrats! Young Patrick Smage showed his medal with some great rides in the pro class! This kid is TOUGH! Will Ibsen's win on Sunday will bolster his confidence even more! Taking the expert class is GREAT! GO WILL! The TX kids beat out the CA kids again for the weekend! Im sure that MichLin will have some excuse. Those kids in HS class can out ride 90 % of everyone out th…

Hi all, watch out for the highlites from the Tennessee nationals next Tuesday night (April 13) at 8PM EDT on Speed Channel. I spent most of last Saturday at the nationals escorting BJ and Morris the camera man around to some good photo spots and they were quite enthusiastic about the stuff they got. I hope we get some good coverage so be on the look out for it. BJ is new at Speed, having done a few features on Motoworld a while back. I remember when Greg White came up in 2000 for the nationals, he was the young guy learning the ropes from Dave Despain. It is good to get the TV guys interested in showing trials stuff. Thanks to all from the STRA and elsewhere (we ha…

I would like to inform you that after being here in US since 1998, I am going back to Europe. I have accepted a work offer from Gas Gas Spain to move back home and start working as a sales manager for northern Europe. I have worked with Gas Gas USA for the past 6 years and I would really like to thank them for the opportunity they have given me.These past six years have been unforgetable and I feel very fortunate to be able to travel in the USA and meet many great people. I'd like to thank Dale at Gasgas USA, Juan at Gasgas of America, Jim at Rising sun, Daryl at Stunttours, Dan at TTC, Jon at Classic and everyone else who has helped me along the way.Without their help, …

What type of training do you participate in to prepare for the trials season? What I am wondering is, do you run, bicycle, lift weights, set up sections and make them harder and harder as you learn to ride them. Just curious, would especially like to know what the guys/girls do who ride nationals. Wayne

I have just bought my first trials bike, a 1999 montesa 315r. Now I need to learn to ride this thing. I've rode dirt/woods/ desert for years and am ready for a new challange. I have a bunch of pallets to climb over, a couple of 1 1/2 - 2 foot tall logs, and some good hill climbs in the back yard, I figure thats a good starting point but wonder if there are better videos or training sites in the western u.s. Also what about competion in western u.s.? Thanks, Bruce

Help! We need a language translator for the upcoming World Round in TN on April 26/27! Our FIM rep is from Italy but is said to speak French quite well. Officially, we are obliged to provide French and English translation, but our French-speaker in the STRA that helped before is unavailable so we need some help. Maybe some French Canadians could help out here. Italian speaker would be ideal, since our guy is Italian. Section inspection is on Thursday, April 24, so we need somebody who can be in TN on Thursday through Sunday for the section walk-thru and for Jury meetings & official stuff. thanks, dan p.s., we got a lot of photos and also a video preview of so…
