USA Trials

Im wondering if there are any results. I never found any last year am i looking at the wrong place.

Mr. Bill put on another great West Coast Youth National at Donner Ski Ranch, the problem is not too many got to ride this awesome venue as turn out was pretty light. I said something about in Lane's place, but for those that don't venture there I ask what would make all those that went to the Y.N. in Tennessee come out to one of the best trials places in the world for this event. Heading to the youth nationals in New Mexico, mile post seventy five from the NM border in Colorado, tykes had just about lost it with dad driving the past 1200 miles or so with only stops to get gas, I decided to pull in to a KOA camp grounds, full hook Op's even wy fi az thi can see, any road old bird on the counter give me the senior discount, I know I'm sporting a fair bit of grey but the old batt must er bin 85, my Yorkshire upbringing wun't allow me to complain, not when 10 bucks wer at stake. I just discovered there were such a thing as trials bikes the other day. I've had a few mishaps on my dirt bike and someone suggested a trials bike to really develop balance and technical control. Checking them out online, they look like a lot of fun. I really would like to get one. Around here though, it doesn't seem they are that popular. I think the closest dealer around here that has them is about 3 hours away according to a trials bike website. I was curious what are good prices for used bikes. Its really dead here on the forum and especially dead in my area. Feel like im the last one left in Sw Missouri but I'm not ready to turn the lights off. Ive been trying to stir up some new riders mainly thru local woods and Enduro guys. Maybe the poll should have stated what would best get people involved in trials. I know this is a loaded question but I am trying to make a decision on what to go with for a good protection helment. I currently have an older MX style full face but the visor gets in the way of looking down the trail or section so I can only see about 10 or 15 feet in front of me. Taking the visor off helps but it is heavier that the half helments and open face that I see guys using. I tried an older style Bell RT but the design inteferes with the back of my neck and pushes the helment forward into my field of vision when standing and looking down the trail even without the visor. Hey guys I have 5 acres (adjacent to 20 more I can use as I please) in the country and I am wanting to expand my home trials training riding area. I'm going to buy a few hundred (or more) railroad ties and am looking for ideas on how to use them to build some cool stuff to ride on. I have a skid steer at my disposal and all the soil I can use as well. Anyone have any ideas for some cool stuff I could build to ride on? Also any ideas for other stuff to use? Why hasn't trials caught on as a popular known sport in the u.s ? I,m from England originally and have lived quite a few years in Spain, where trials is like a national sport. Competitions are televised on national tv and events are everywhere. I am confused at why it hasnt caught on over here , where other spectator sports such as supercross are so big. Is it because of names like Jordi Tarres in Spain, or lampkin in England ? Armstrong made cycling in the U.S very popular ,after winning the Tour 7 times. Everyone was out buying a road bike. I'm about to buy a new used trials bike here in California. But I'm confused about the registration. I know that all 2002 year and older bikes are automatically green stickered. But all 2003 year and newer go by different rules. California DMV rule is simple and fairly straight forward on this matter. "Red stickers are issued to 2003 year model and newer OHVs that are not certified to California OHV emission standards. If your OHV has a "3" or "C" in the eighth position of the vehicle identification number (VIN) then your vehicle will be issued a red sticker. I've been trying to find a trials bike the last couple of months, but I'm having a tough time. I was hoping someone could help me out and point me in the right direction. I don't know a lot about what trials bike to get and something I don't have to work on all the time:) I'm looking to spend around $4,000 (for a used one).
